Default Comfortable Seats for Suzuki Mehran?

    Assalam o alaikum Gentlemen,

I have a Suzuki Mehran, 2004 model with the factory fitted cushion seats (not the so-called bucket ones). The front seats are not comfortable at all. I was wondering if seats of another car (such as a Cuore, Starlet, or Charade etc.) may be fitted to the Mehran without any major alterations/welding etc. If someone has already done a similar swap, a price idea for the procedure would also be really appreciated. Thank you.

Goto bilal gunj, you can find LOTS LOTS LOTS of seats there, and they would fit in with a bit of modification.. about a year back, they asked for rs 4000 that included the seats of some toyota, with adjustable back, adjustable headrest.. and the fitting.. I didn't go for it since i wasn't there for the seats.. when you have time, go there and see for yourself, take a friend along with you.. would be helpful..

Thank you Syncview for your advice. Rs 4,000 is pretty expensive for this sort of a swap. As suggested, I shall visit Bilal Gunj one of these days and have a look at the choices available.

I didn't negotiate, as i wasn't there for the seats :p so you negotiate/bargain, you can also trade in your seats, they were giving me 1500 for the front seats.. depends on you..

i went to BilalGunj on saturday, and there are a lot of stuff available from Japani Alto 660cc in Mehran's shape as well as new shape, i did not particularly came across a bucket type seat from a Jap Suzuki Alto Turbo.
Rear Glass Screen with defoggers is available for Mehran for about PKR 1000/- only with connectors.
I am back & still "Keeping my fingers crossed"

Dear Shree59, thank you for the advice. However, I am actually looking for a solution without too much alteration (if at all), as in case of a collision/accident (God forbid), the seats need to absorb some of the shock, instead of propelling the passenger(s).
