Unhappy Urgent and sincere advice needed for car purchase ....please

    Salam Brothers.

I need urgent and some sincere advice.

I am not a huge fan of cars and the purpose of my car in my life is to just give me trouble free rides.
I had leased a cuore that i paid off. it was a 2007 model. it was running perfectley but i recentley sold it for 2 main reasons:

    1) it was a small cabin car. very difficult to handle when you have a 1.5 year old energetic child riding with you.
    2) Its Ac was ok, laikin of 800 cc standards. Even if i have a prado which doesnot give me un-intereptued ac supply, it is no good for me.

So, long story short, i sold it.
Now, i wanted to lease myself a new GLI. but i have made sincere tauba from doing anything with interest/sood.

So now i am stuck with a limited budget and need a good car in it.

I have decided to look for a 2000 -2001 model baleno (GTI) because of the points below. Please tell me if i am right and how much i should get it for.

    1) 1600/1300 CC engine. I have been told it is powerful and good as far as suzuki goes.
    2) have been told it has a nice AC. An ac which will be able to drop temprature in car and i will not have to keep switching it off and on every 10 minutes.
    3) Less expensive miantaince.
    4) Roomy and spacious cabin with Power mirrors, Windows and steering.
    5) I have been told i should get a good one from lahore around 5.50 to 6 lack.

Brothers, please tell me if i am right on these points
It will be a huge favour if you guide me on this as i really do not want to get my self into interest. Literally mere bache app logon ko duain dain gae.

PLease help me as i am carless and need one urgentley.

    Jazak Allah.

The points you mentioned are correct upto my knowledge
but the main question is "Will you be able to get one in a nice condition?" as now it would be a 9~10 year old car.
One of the most difficult things in the world is to know how to do something, and to watch without comment, somebody else do it incorrectly.

you can find a baleno in 550-600..........you can also find a 96-97 model civic in that range...........baleno ki maintainance itni bhi sasti nai hai jitna log kehte hain k suzuki ki gari maintain krna asan hota hai...its not a mehran that you can afford easily.......its a big car indeed..........baleno ka ac good hai......power windows aur steering bhi hai.........uski diggi bht choti hai...agr ap cng lagwa len to bilkul he jaga nai hoti......agr ap ko zayada space ki zarurat ho to civic le len........
aur aik aur baat k baleno mein spark(patakha) problem bht hai.....reason is coils.......wo heatup ho k kaam krna chor deti hain.....agr aik dafa problmsolve ho jae to baad mein tang nai krti.aur baleno cng pe farig chalti hai....beth jati hai......aur avg bhi itni achi nai deti.......so agy aapki mrzi........apko civic bhi mil jae gi lekin model kuch purana ho jae ga.....

Baleno is a gud car, or the best value for money car with a boot.

But maintaining a Baleno isnt cheap. Since uve had a coure a carby and trouble free car before. So Balenos spares are atleast similar and sometimes expensive then thoose of a Rolla and a Civic. And being efi (a computerised car its totaly different)

I own a 2005 Jxr 1.3L thats why telling you. Im not sure how is the 1.6L car. But Baleno 1.3s before 2002 are also problem free car. After 2002 they changed the ignition system of the car.

Issue # 1 (in all balenos)

If u drive on rough terrains Balenos front suspension bushes dont change you have to change the whole keinchy, (lower suspension arms)

spares such as this some times arnt availble,

Geniunes cost more then 10k some body said 16k for a pair (almunium)

Chines are Rs. 1800 a peice

Taiwan come around Rs.4500 per pair

Scrap market/ kabli around Rs 2500 per peice.

    Issue 2

If ure driving it on petrol its a problem free car. But on cng coils (2002+ models) coils die prematurly u have to keep the engine area out of reach of water even in service on coil costs 8.5k (Geniune) Plaza a pair is avalible for 12k Chinese ones now cost around 4.5k but arnt recomended Baleno needs 2 coils and 2 wires

    Issue # 3

The car may come cheap i.e for the price of a coure of a similar model but its mostly dependent on sensors each sensor costs around 2-3k.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

I would say go for a 2001 Honda City

Why ? Its a Honda. The a/c is pretty chilly ... and if you find a clean one its a no trouble car. Also its way way more reliable than a Suzuki will ever be!

Ahsan's suggestion is really good or you can go for city neo too. Civic, as one brother mentioned up there isn't a bad choice either. If you spend some money on honda and get one of its parts changed, it will last longer than the others because they are tougher and reliable.
The parts of 96-2000 model civic are the most abundant in bilal gunj now a days and will be for some years. You can get the whole suspension changed within 10-15 K depending upon the things you need plus as I said, its really reliable. You will get more power and a really good AC. I had to switch my civic's AC off because it got really cold even during the hottest of days during this week. If you need to step on it, it will never disappoint you. Braking is also reliable. Plus once you get used to driving a honda, you wouldn't think about any other brand available in Pakistan except the expensive segment vehicles, in which too, honda is a strong competitor.
Suzuki is no more so affordable. Because of its unrealistically high demand throughout the years, its maintenance costs have also soared up to similar levels as that of honda and toyota.

    Sir

Get a 6th Gen 96-00 Civic VTI in a good condition, or a City EXIS.

You can also lease the car from Islamic bank, possibly a new City.
