Default What wud YOU choose??Honda or Toyota

    Gentleman,

Have read this thread and ur take on which is the better vehicle.
I therfore present my specific case for your suggestions:

1- I want to buy a brand new City or Gli 2010. For Toyota I have to put i more money, but I would if it is really worth it.

2- I shall buy this by taking loan from my company which i have to pay back in case i leave my job.

3- my job site is at Sindh punjab border.

4- My previous car is Santro 2003. This shall be my first "big" car

4- I want to use my vehicle to travel to Karachi frequency of which shall be once a month.

5- Safety is important for highway travel but so is the ruggedness and reliability. I dont want to be left stranded somewhere in Sindh.

6- Resale is important in case i have to leave my job. But question is that how difficult is to sell a City or how much it cost u in terms of resale.....is the difference too huge between Toyota and City??

7- Maintenance is important in terms of ease of maintenance more. Less in terms of cost...as quality maintenance come at a cost i.e. in case of Honda.

Pls suggest which factor should I prioritize in my specific case.
Love to hear from u guyz.

Buy Toyota and you will never regret. Toyota has better ride and resale
Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

I think enough has already been said on the topic here. One can't have the good of all the world in one thing. You'll have to compromise on something to get some. What you have written in your post indicates that you need a Corolla. City is not a ride to be mishandled on our roads on long routes.
I am sure by now you must be able to make your decision, and ask the mods to close this thread, because believe you me, people here are going to continue supporting one make or the other till year 20101!!!

Buy both cars and then give two ads for both the cars, then wait and see which one has the high resale, so the one with high resale will gone quickly, now you will have only one car and i am sure that will be CITY so keep it. lolllllll

I personally like GLI and CITY both. but in your case go for CITY and avoid any SUZUKI as they are very expensive.

1- For excellent mileage, excellent pick up and excellent road grip, go for the City.

2- For excellent durability, average mileage and pick up, go for the Corolla.

3- Maintenance is expensive for both cars unless you plan to use cheap aftermarket parts.

4- resale is not a problem for both cars, however, corolla, being the universal choice of car lovers in Pakistan, will fetch more customers.

5- As far as reliability is concerned, both cars are bang for the buck.

6- Comfort levels for both front and rear passengers in both cars are excellent. However, despite its smaller size, the City has more leg space for rear passengers as compared to corolla.

In a nutshell, if you have high levels of usage, especially on bumpy or damaged roads, and require high level of durability, then the Corolla is the obvious choice. But, if your preference is better fuel consumption, speed, excellent road grip and style, then City should be vehicle of choice.

My advice: Since you have mentioned that you will be travelling from Punjab to Sindh, and keeping the road conditions in mind, I would say, go for the GLI.

After reading your requirements I would definetely reccomend you the GLI
    Its the car for you.
