Default Altis' acceleration just on manuals?

Two days ago, I tried to compare my car's acceleration (2000 vti) to a new altis and amazingly altis couldn't keep up on CNG (my car was also on CNG).
The last night I tried it again and it simply couldn't do it and the mate driving it shifted to patrol in order to get ahead. I couldn't do it because my car has a distributor and has manually been advanced for CNG so transferring it to patrol doesn't do much but knocking but I wonder if run on patrol with proper setting, would the new altis be as incapable while keeping up with a civic vti as on CNG? I had four persons in my car and there were 3 in altis. I haven't tried it with the older altis though.

@hondafanatic, thanks mate. I eat brains of mechanics for hours and then try to take part in whatever they do. I always believe that there is a little difference in top notch settings of anything, like that half turn of screw or that 0.1 mm of spark plug gap so I try to go for that

@Accord, it always gets it from me

@Retardedbuddy, mate don't really know but I am an instinctive driver. Rather than totally depending upon gauges and dials, I go with my instinct.
