    Exclamation Need Some Sincere Advice

    Dear PakWheelers, Assalam-u-alaikum, Ramadhan Mubarak!!!
Hope all of you are doing well,

I need some sincere advice / expert opinion,

    My query is :

I have a Charade'82 in average condition without CNG/AC, I want to change my car, & want to buy a car under the range of 300k-350k,
I just need a price idea that...How much I can fetch for my Charade'82..(so that I can add up this amount in my actual range)

I also want advice that for which car I must go under the range of 300k+(price of charade'82), I want a car for my daily running, my daily running is about 50km-60km in city (kindly advise any car other than Mehran) I want a car that can give good average on AC/CNG with minimum mantenance.

Sincere / Expert opinions are welcome, Thanks in Advance

    Regards
    Haali

(kindly do note: I am a resident of karachi & my car is karachi registered & I require a karachi registered car)

I'll agree with Usman, upgrade to a Sedan since you're with pretty decent amount of cash. The latter model, the better.

Baleno would be a nice choice in 450-500k. Don't go for 95 Civic since it's hard to find an un abused one, plus it's old. I personally don't like Margalla's drive. A Lancer or a Sunny would be hard to sell.

That's about it with the sedans.

For hatchbacks - you have a million options. If, God forbid, you plan to go for an Alto, you're better off getting a Japanese one. Santro is a far better car, and so is cuore. However, none of these hatces will be an upgrade to your Charade, neither in terms of class, nor in terms of drive pleasure.

    That's my 0.02$.

had a 2001'baleno 1.6GTi in 2009 (for investment purpose) bought it from ann auction for rs:320000 (installed efi CNGin it)sold it for 440k in jan 2010, it also has parts issue, its fuel pump is rare in karachi, even suzuki SOUTH can't arrange it, My friend bought it for me(don't know from where) that car was the best car I have ever had, it has the same average as that of Honda'city + a powerful car, local baleno has braking problems.

Santros are discontinued long time ago, so I am still in doubt

i would suggest you a baleno old shape if you want too go for a sedan and i think you can get it in Karachi in your budget.

if you want to stick to hatchbacks
get a clean santro 04 around 400k in karachi market or an alto 03-04. but the santro is a better option over alto. i didn;t recommend you a cultus cuz i am not sure you can get a clean one in Karachi in your budget as it has sky high resale across country. santro ha s a good engine a good ac and space in boot if you can find a gv version and its good on cng.

but my range is 300k-350k, so baleno is near to impossible, 95Civics here in karachi are badly abused or fully restored ones, I never consider buying a fully restored(full dented /painted) car, I always consider old genuine car over fully dented/painted upper modeled car.
Japanese Alto'2005(new shape) was sold near my home for 500k.

Don't know why whenever I come to PW, I start loving my Charade, don't know why? same result is here reading yours & @UsmanAnsari's reply
