You made a right decision to buy honda city but I suggest you to go for a 2001/2002 model (old shape)

U have to check so many things before buying any car. Everyone prefered local registered car. First check its body and Mileage. If car is in good condition then check its engine and suspension. Here is a list.

    1. Registratiion
    2. Mileage
    3. Body condition
    4. Engine
    5. Ac and suspension while driving a car
    6. If u want to use car on cng then don't go for automatic transmission
    7. Interiror
    8. tyre and rim etc

It would be appreciated if someone add some more tips

Sir a 01-03 EXI/VTI PROSMATEC is much better, if you are not very fuel conscious.

    @mrfarhankhan

Sir PROSMATEC are much better then manual because they are trouble free in both driving and CNG, that is why they are most sought after and expensive then their M/T counterparts.

M/T's clutch/suspensions are often messed up as they are driven hard.

However, you can also look for a M/T Civic, if you like.

How do I check the Car Electronic System (Computer) is working properly ?
Sir you cannot check it yourself at the time of buying, unless you take the cars to Honda 3S or any qualified technician to diagnose ECU code or error, if any.

IDSI engine is the most tricky thing in the car, look for performance and condition (oil leaks/spark plugs/coils) thoroughly on both CNG and Petrol.

After that comes the suspensions and body, look for rust/dent/paint closely.

    Regards
