Sir it has a normal 4 speed A/T only in 2WD models.

Fuel consumption is around 8-10 km/l with a mix of high octane 4WD, never calculated the 2WD.

Serious off roading cannot be done in anyway but it is good for rough roads sand/muddy tracks.

On highway it can easily reach 100-120km/hr with reasonable steering feedback and stability (please do not compare it with a Corolla or car).

Best thing is that you can drive one at Toyota Southern motors or any 3S dealers, I think they are giving a 2 years or 50,000 km limited warranty.

The 4WD has some more equipment, most notably the front fog lights but I find the 2WD with A/T more fun to drive.

    Regards

    Dear Mr. 959

Thank you very much for this precious information. I appreciate your effort.

    Thanks for the appreciation.

    1. You say fuel consumption of 4WD is 8 to 10 km/L. Its mean 2WD will do more kms. What do you say?

2WD will be definitely more efficient by 2-4km/l and is better to drive.

    2. Would you please explain what is serious off roading?

Daihatsu Terios 1.5 - off roading

    Daihatsu Terios 1.5 - porscheoffroading500

    Daihatsu Terios 1.5 - 163 0610 01z2Bxterra titan fj hummer2Boff roading in mud

    3. Why should I not compare it with corolla or any car?

Sir it feels heavy when overtaking, and it cannot change lanes as fast as an Xli/Gli, also some body roll is evident when cruising at high speed, but it is natural for all SUVs regardless of brand or price.

    4. What would be its ground clearance?

I had measured 8” at showroom with no passenger and fuel.

    5. Why Daihatsu has offered 2WD Auto and 4WD Mannaul. What is the exact usage of 2WD and 4WD?

The A/T will rob the power of 4WD, 4WD adds weight, the best thing about 4WD is its traction and grip in hilly areas, wet rainy season and snow, it has a permanent 4WD but the lower gear is not there to come out and deal in serious mud or snow.

    Please help
