I have a six months old car, lets see what my car stats are after 4 years, for now I have no choice but to agree with you on this as you have hand on experience.
I would not call 12-14km/ltr drinking anyways.
As for City I have hands on experience with it so I can surely say Alto is not using as much as City does. It is just about maintaining you car.
A/C vents i can not say anything other than agree and lets see what happens to mine
I have seen many city rusting under-body because they do not maintain there cars, before my city was snatched I used to get under-body painted by company to black (waterproof, every year) and it was in excellent condition even after 3years of use, it actually was parked over sea water when I went fishing every week still had no rust... i expect to get the same black paint on my Alto soon.
I have heard this from many times. I always say that any new car will run trouble free without good maintaince for a couple of years with good maintaince it will go for years, thats what I believe in, let see what happens in coming years
Suzuki is "Assembled" in Pakistan, at-least the engine and metal is imported (that is what I think it is).
So you would like Alto with a brand new engine+shape and be priced @ 1.3million? (as this is the logic behind Civic and Corolla, new tech+engine = insanely priced vehicle's)... I will rather go for current Alto @ 0.75million... Swift was launch not more than a year ago (lets assume it is a replacement for alto, considering the price of new Alto with new engine)...you know how it has failed? Suzuki advertising it like hell etc proves the point that I was making that a new engine+body will mean a higher price and it would fail miserably.
300K of 2000 is not equal to 750K of today...hmmm...
From 2000 to 2010 price of everything have inflated more than 115% (ref: IndexMundi)
So lets see 300K+115% = 645,000 +new lights+cdplayer+etc = +-710,000.. what do you think now?
Its not about what they will keep feeding us till we keep buying, its about what WE can buy right now (people of any class)... slowly but gradually there will come a day when everyone who owns a Car in Pakistan gets ABS+Airbags+etc as standard but that day is far to come as per our GDP+Inflation+buying power...
