Sir that has been debated many times, you can search on PW, LIANA is nothing compared to City, City is a world class car and LIANA is a badly engineered and designed flop.

I didn't expect such a reply from you.

Liana is a good car but if not maintained properly,it will give you trouble.

bhai i used both of them
    liana 06 n city 03 idsi
city has no worth to compare it with liana
city is just bull s hit when compared to liana
positive points of idsi is its fuel mileage but its speed is even u can beat it on cultus very easily on other hand liana mileage is not too bad n speed yar its awsum no car stands infront of it
in city u cant take sharp turn n if u do u become the part of pendulun while in liana u can yar simply it really rock
interior of shitty is ok but quality is little bit low while liana interior is just awsum n finishing is too good too
city trunk is a positive point but liana trunk is not so small too
while in this price tag u can get liana of 06 07 while city u cant get good idsi of even 03
    while previous shape is just
so dont think of other just go for liana u cant regret it its drive

And the Liana hater community grows. As Honda and toyota keeps their users deprived of basic amenities so how can ppl think of getting them in any other car.

    @LIANARULES

Sirs I know absolutely what I am writing.

Bought 2 LIANAs, one RXI used 06, other a 0 meter EMINENT.

Front bumper of RXI fell on the road after hiting a speedbraker, after a month 2 coils failed and Suzuki 3S billed 40K Rs for a set of 4 Coils.

6 months gone and the rear springs started hitting on speedbreakers.

The Eminent was good for 8 months, after that the front left ABS sensor stopped working, then after a month in D mode car takes a jerk from stop to acceleration, Suzuki people said that the A/T gearbox needs to opened up.

The worst part was that the 06 RXi was started rusting after just 5 years or so, underpanels and car floor.

Now that was only the reliability part.

Even on pure merits LIANA has nothing remarkable.

The car rolls badly during high speed overtaking, steering is uninspiring and interior is the most ugly part with red LEDs and black silver color combination.

The City had a wonderful and feelsome electronic powered steering, which is direct and reliable, trunk space easily exceeds the New Civic and the sandwitch crash structure was the first employed in the B segment.

Not to mention about the 8V twin spark IdSi engine which Suzuki cannot even imagine to design, that is 10 kg lighter and 30% smaller than the already remarkable D15 of 7th Gen Civic while returning 11-13km/l.

Not to mention the 0 lift air drag that can be witnessed at high speeds after 150km/hr and a driver focuse dispaly and airy interior.

All those who think that LIANA is a powerful machine can try it against IDSI M/T on petrol and the Eminent with Steermatic and they will have a clear idea about performance numbers.

Using the L series twin spark engines on CNG is not a very good idea but atleast it is much safe than running CNG on LIANA or Baleno.

No matter City was Japan car of the year while LIANA only sold in few numbers all over the world.

Suzuki never made a good C segment car, they only mastered the small and Kei cars.

Swift is the best they have ever made this side of Grand VitarA.

^^^ I am using Liana Rxi FF CNG since August 2008, with Alhamdulillah not a single problem at all clocked 55k kms with two Islamabad Karachi trips, each nonstop at one way. Multiple trips to Galliat, Peshawar, Rawlakot, Mansehra, Balakot.

Single handed use only driven by me with periodic replacement of consumables like Lubricants filters. Changed plugs at 35k kms. Still on the FF set of General tyres with spare unused.

Averaging 22 kms per Kg of gas in city drive. This is what Liana has to offer.

Sir I have gone to Muree in a Bolan, what is the big deal.

City driving, especially in Karachi is the real test of any car.

You got the wrong cars.Suzuki just can't maintain it's standards.have you seen the New Swift's quality? It's Fantastic.Suzuki rolled out some pieces of Liana which did not even go through a quality test(gosh!I wonder what they're for!)-.-.

My Liana is a 2007 March Car.My cousin owns a Dec City M/T.His Car was performing well. When My cousin got the delivery of his car,the back right side door refused to open(P.S:I was there). Then when the car had done 65kms,It's Kms meter refused to change numbers.Since your in Karachi, you'll know how much it travelled.Well we took the car from Bahadurabad to shahrah-e-faisal and back.It didn't change.-.-.Then in 2007 march, the car refused to start,it was towed to the workshop and repaired under warranty and sold the very next day with 1650kms on the clock.

Now I am not saying Suzuki's quality is any good. When I got my Liana's Delivery,it's clutch made a funny noise.Repaired Under Warranty. Then it's dah refused to open.Car started drinking petrol(8km/ltr).It was then tuned by a dealer and throughly checked. Now it's running Flawlessly!

I suggest you try another RXi WELL MAINTAINED.

    Thank you
