Sirs I know absolutely what I am writing.
Bought 2 LIANAs, one RXI used 06, other a 0 meter EMINENT.
Front bumper of RXI fell on the road after hiting a speedbraker, after a month 2 coils failed and Suzuki 3S billed 40K Rs for a set of 4 Coils.
6 months gone and the rear springs started hitting on speedbreakers.
The Eminent was good for 8 months, after that the front left ABS sensor stopped working, then after a month in D mode car takes a jerk from stop to acceleration, Suzuki people said that the A/T gearbox needs to opened up.
The worst part was that the 06 RXi was started rusting after just 5 years or so, underpanels and car floor.
Now that was only the reliability part.
Even on pure merits LIANA has nothing remarkable.
The car rolls badly during high speed overtaking, steering is uninspiring and interior is the most ugly part with red LEDs and black silver color combination.
The City had a wonderful and feelsome electronic powered steering, which is direct and reliable, trunk space easily exceeds the New Civic and the sandwitch crash structure was the first employed in the B segment.
Not to mention about the 8V twin spark IdSi engine which Suzuki cannot even imagine to design, that is 10 kg lighter and 30% smaller than the already remarkable D15 of 7th Gen Civic while returning 11-13km/l.
Not to mention the 0 lift air drag that can be witnessed at high speeds after 150km/hr and a driver focuse dispaly and airy interior.
All those who think that LIANA is a powerful machine can try it against IDSI M/T on petrol and the Eminent with Steermatic and they will have a clear idea about performance numbers.
Using the L series twin spark engines on CNG is not a very good idea but atleast it is much safe than running CNG on LIANA or Baleno.
No matter City was Japan car of the year while LIANA only sold in few numbers all over the world.
Suzuki never made a good C segment car, they only mastered the small and Kei cars.
Swift is the best they have ever made this side of Grand VitarA.
