    Question Altis 1.6 or Civic which one to buy

    Dear all!

    I was planning to purchase Altis 1.6 A/T SR next month. But booking was closed and launch was delayed. The other option will be Civic but its new model on its way.
    Please suggest what to do? buy civic or wait for Altis?

    Exactly my question . I am in the same confusion but i still prefer tha altis because of its latest engine which will give more milage with adequate power but this launch thing has really disappointed me and i have also started to think about the alternative but if altis launches it will be my first choice

    I believe this is a common "dilemma" these days. I personally have delayed the GLI purchase for a couple of more days, till Altis 1.6 issue gets a bit clearer, with respect to launch.

    In the meantime, I've my eyes set on Civic VTI Oriel also, just like the OP, and I find myself between this confusion as well.

    If Corolla 1.6 is delayed for a prolonged time, I'm stuck between the VTI Oriel and GLI 1.3, but then again, Honda change should be imminent, so what do you say, if I take the GLI 1.3 now, would it sell well enough, if the 1.6 arrives and I decide to replace my 1.3 with the 1.6, or would 1.3's market start falling with the advent of the 1.6??? Quite some curve balls, and sorry to go a bit off the topic here.

    @OP...........I humbly believe Altis 1.6 would be a great option over the Civic VTI, but mainly because the Civic is up for an upgrade/full change, otherwise the Civic would keep rocking.

    Regards.

    Buy a Civic right now. Sell it and get a Altis 1.6 in future.

    @poster
    I would suggest you to wait. When the bookings open, go for Toyota Altis. Civic shape is changed and we know that unlike Toyota Indus, Honda Atlas brings the new shape of their cars in Pakistan very soon. So what would be the point of buying a vehicle in old shape whose new shape has been launched?

    P.s. Altis failed in pakistan terribly...just like liana..or wait i have seen more liana's on road then altis......so i doubt it will gain some success even after 1.6 due to pricing..

    Hi dear. Go for new shape civic which will be here at the later half of this year. ( Honda introduces new model quickly as thier customers r more demanding and up-to-date in terms of models and new launch). New civic will out class altis in terms of 1. power 2. Fuel efficiency 3. Style 4 handeling and 5. Technology. That's why "sabar ka Phall meetha hota hai"
    I am also waiting and wait till civic is launched in few months time. Inshallah

    I do not agree that Altis failed. You see less number of Altis as compared to Xli and Gli because people prefer 1300cc cars as 1800cc is heavy on pocket. Corolla fans go for 1300cc models rather than 1800cc. There is no Civic in 1300cc, hence people have to buy 1800cc Civic.
    Altis is far more durable and fuel economic car as compared to Civic. I am saying this because I have experienced it myself. My Altis has done 340,000 Km with its genuine engine, still going strong. Fuel average is around 12 Km/L.
    My illiterate stupid driver drove it for a month with 1/4 engine oil and empty radiator. Still it survived.
    Though I am planing to buy Honda City this time but still thumbs up to the durability and reliability of Toyota.
