    Exclamation Best 1000cc Car?

    Hi All,

I have been reading some valuable discussions on the forums and decided to take your opinions about a confusion.

I have just sold a 2005 cuore car and now I am looking for a 1000cc car with a budget of 6-7 lakhs.

I have less space so I can only go for a small car i.e. Santro, Alto, Cultus, Vitz etc.

My findings/opinion so far about these cars:

Santro: Excluded from my wish-list because it is discontinued now and may be its market value will not be same down the road after 2-3 years. But i personally like its looks over alto & cultus.

Alto: Looks appealing to me, its economical in price, good fuel consumption, works well with CNG too, comfortable than cuore, road-grip etc.

Cultus: new models with efi engine looks good, more spacious and comfortable than alto/santro, not sure about fuel consumption

Vitz: Really wish to get this car but i have heard from an auto-dealer that models later than 2003 dont work well with CNG, and also read it somewhere that its a japanese car so it will not run upto its best on pakistani roads. Even if all of this is wrong I am not sure if i can get a well maintained car in my budget.

Can you guys please compare these cars and share your experiences considering quality, maintenance, value for money & market value?

    Thanks in advance

NOTE: I may only keep this car for 2-3 years so a car with good market value is important.

if you want comfort and safety, vitz may be your only option. plus if you can afford petrol, then there is nothing like it, its extremely reliable, and does not need a lot of maintenance. parts may be expansive than coure and alto, but you don't need them that often. all you need to do is to change oil and filters regularly. I own vitz for more than 3 years now, and it never missed a beat. you just have to keep it away from the roadside mechanics (some call them monkeys)
