Default Need a car--Good and Reliable!

I am now entering into corporate world after finishing my graduate. I want a car which is reliable and problem-free for at least a year. Obviously, I am on pretty low budget(700k) and I want a car within that.

I am considering a LIANA option as it appears to be pretty fine car. Moreover, I hope I can get a clean 2007 Liana within 730K(I hope so..?)..Cultus is also an option but I really do not like that car and Vitz will not come into my budget.

    So options..?

Moreover, I will keep the car for AT LEAST a year(may sell it after a year or so) but more important at the moment is a good car with good options!

Thanks for your suggestions if any!

    **BUMP**..

Moreover, I have tried looking Santro but the mileage is much(above 70k and this is what I do NOT want)..

So possible to find Santro within like 30k-40k within the budget...?

try purchasing a brand new car if you're not too status conscious; you have a handsome budget and can get quite some options in that amount. else there's no knowing ov how much time (and money) you will waste at the workshops.

absolutely nothing like knowing about each and every bolt of your car since Day 1.

@Vijih, Indeed brand new car is incomparable. But in this budget the only thing I can get is Mehran and this is what I already have(really do NOT want to go for another Mehran)..The 700k is MAXIMUM budget and I really want car less than that!

One can get a mint condition baleno 2005 or 2006 may in your budget I recently saw 2 balenos and both were mint upto 100k driven and really clean both owners were asking 725k and said they would give away at anything above 700k. These days mint balenos dont go for more than 700-725k yes you can find 2-3 piece touchup ordinary 2005 ones in 625-650k. The most important thing is that dont ever visit a dealer to buy a car look in the newspaper sunday jung I found both above cars from newspapers but go early in the morning because good cars are gone by noon so start searching in newpapers and dont be in a hurry. Finding good car can take ages and sometimes in haste we buy really pathetic cars and than bang our head for rest of our lives. wish you good luck for your purchase

1 lac kilometers for a 1.3 L acr is no biggie..its engine is storng enough to stand triple of this mileage or even more if kept properly..
even daniyal, memebr here on pakwheels has khyber,1.0 car, around mileage is near 2lakh n still good...
    all is about maintaince..
so if u get a good maintained car,go for it..it will last long even longer than new bought 1.0L car!

I don't know why people buy brand new mehrans & Alto. They are shitty because they are soo over priced, for 500k+ i'd rather buy a used cultus or something, and for 700k+ i'd simply buy a baleno or a city exis 2003 model.

Back in 2001 i bought a 1994 model mehran for 155k, used it for about 15 months and sold it for the same amount...thats the only thing its good for.

When getting a used car; go for the most recent one you can find...its important as you will not like to spend after the purchase on maintenance and secondly after keeping the car 2-3 years your car will not be that old that it will not sell good!

I think in your budget the most recent and in better condition car you can find is Cultus and its very good option. I think you should reconsider it. I kept it in 2003 - 2009 and drove about 165k without a single issue. The major expenses incurred was car registration, tyre replacement (twice 1st @ 0 and 2nd @ 85k), Kangi was serviced once, timing belt was changed @ 100k and periodic brake pads replacement (roughly each ~40k)
