Bro Umair, having already posted a comprehensive review on my Altis 1.6 MT/SR in thread: https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/members-member-rides/174445-review-altis-1-6-fuel-efficiency-6th-gear-deployment I feel I'm "incompetent" to put a verdict here, as I'd sound 'biased", perhaps.
Yet, let me just say, I agree it's a hard choice and I went through this whole process myself before the purchase of Altis and I was like 50/50, alternating my proposed choice every hour or so!
Bro, ease yourself up and purchase what's "in" at the moment, where the name of the game is undeniably the Altis 1.6. Use it, enjoy it, and if still for any reasons you want a "switch over" to Honda, do so at time of release of new version Civic, whenever, preferably a year or 2 into launch, your Altis will sell well enough by then, or at least your expended charges on extra's/ tires/registration, etc, will be reasonably used up by then.
I do not consider the present and soon-to-be-replaced VTI Oriel/ Ivtec a wise buy at the moment, at the most it's just a temporary "itch-killer".
EPS of Altis is excellent and over the past weekend, when out for a picnic and some shooting sports, way offshore the plain metallic roads, I should have taken a couple of pictures of the spots my ride drove through without even getting dirty from the lower, leave aside touching anything!
I was amazed myself, not daring drive through, but my servant went out of the car and directed me and to my great surprise, there wasn't even a single "touch down" instance, and I was glad I wasn't seated in a Honda, humbly, no offence intended.
Let me just add, I wish I could convince you to the SR package in Altis, even if you don't care much for the extra's offered @100K's, perhaps - and most likely - your prospective buyer later would be looking just for these.
Best of luck.
Regards.
