    @Topic
It is one of the best cars produced by Pak Suzuki.
Quality is far better than Alto, Cultus and Mehran.
Local mileage is somewhere around 12km/litre.
    Should be better on highways.

    13km/litre is too low.
I normally get 15km/litre on highways.

Try driving with RPM below 2 that will give you the best mileage.

If you are happy with Corolla, why change?

Swift is a magnificent car... A pleasurable car with quality ride... However, if milage is your major concern, then swift isn't your cup of tea... I used it for a year and it always gave me a smile whenever I drove it... But it's fuel economy is perhaps its only drewback.. It never gave me above 10kmpl in city with AC ON all the time.... Other than this... You can't just get a better local car in this price range...

Swift is a great car to drive. It gives you the power as it is 1328cc . But for fuel average in city i am getting 10-11 km/l with AC.That's the only draw back i think.

    Default great milage

As you may know, the motorway milage varies greatly with speed driven at. So, when comparing across cars, please keep in mind that motorway driving habits vary a lot. One of my friends, a regular hypermiler, has never gone above 100, while i have never gone below 100.
I have a new swift DX, driven almost 3000kms by now. On the motorway, I drive (with AC) at a set speed of 120, with over-taking/racing at 140. I have never spent more than 30-32 liters of petrol (home to home: 400km). The same on my GLi cost me 42-45 liters.

My 2010 XLI gave me average of 13.75 (without AC) on the following itinerary:

Lahore - Islamabad via GT road at 90km/h
    Islamabad - Murree - Kohala - Muzaffarabad at 40km/h
Muzaffarabad - Keran (Neelum Valley) for 6 hours and back at less than 20km/h
Back to Islamabad via Muzaffarabad/Kohala at the same speed
Islamabad - Lahore on motorway at 120km/h

    *Bump*

I'm also considering purchasing the Swift but I'm slightly hesitant because I wanted an automatic transmission since I'll be driving in the city in high traffic areas. There are a few JDM Swifts with auto trans available at various dealers but are slightly more expensive I think. I was thinking of a Vitz but after trying out the new shape of the Vitz, the engine noise in the cabin was too much for my comfort.

My dilemma is whether I should go for a JDM Swift with auto tranny which will obviously be used and with the likelihood of tampered/reversed mileage or should I just forgo my requirement of an auto trans and just get a brand new Pak Suzuki Swift.

Can anyone please chime in on this? Thanks.
