Default Accord CL9 or Altis/Civic Reborn?

Well as the title says my father is looking to buy a new car within the next month probably and by default our options were either the Corolla or Civic. However I saw CL9 selling for nearly the same price on PG so I'm wondering how good that car is. My questions are:

1- How good is the fuel consumption compared to Civic or Altis?
2- Ride quality/comfort level. Can it fit 5 people easily?
3- Is it able to handle road bumps well or will it just fall apart
4- Are spare parts easily available and can a local mechanic fix it easily?
5- All CL9s are driven at least 40-50k km. Should I buy a car thats driven this much over a zero meter car?

bhaijan go for zero meter altis u will get all ur answers when u will drive the new 1.6 altis .. go for cruistronic ( automatic ) or if u can handle manual then go for it ... where as civic sucks on ur question 2 ( but it is spacious ) .. civic is expensive in all terms from altis .. and secondly all cl9's are *ucked up so uwont find any gud cl9 .. and one thing zero meter ride is zero meter .. !!! 5th question's answer is a big no ! cuz if u can afford a zero meter ride then y waste ur money on a car which is used and most of all u dont even know the 2nd hand car's history like how it is driven etc ..

So Altis is very very soft on bumpy roads gives u better milege due to duall vvti spare parts are easily available and its spacious too from in side as well as outside .. i myself was confused in between these three rides and finally i ended up wd a zero meter altis ALHUMDULLILAH iam liking the car very much
here's the link to my car :-

    https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/mem...-1-6-dual-vvti

so my vote goes for altis

1-fuel consumption wise CL9 sucks. It consumes fuel like u consume water everyday. Be prepared for lots of fuel expense.
2-5 people can fit easily in all these cars.
3-CL9 is VERY LOW. U need to be careful when u drive it.
4-Never had the need to get my CL9 fixed till now. However yes is the answer.
    5-Depends.

Other thn this, the choice largely depends on your age and your own preference. I preferred the CL9 over the civic(didnt even think bout the rolla cuz it sucks) cuz the CL9 is very rare and its looks are much sexier thn the civic.Every other person has a civic. You'll be lucky to find a CL9 with 50-60K mileage.

So overall, buy a CL9 if u want to stand out (a bit) and u can afford its fuel. Oh and ya if u can absorb the fact that you can get a new car in the same price but havent.

thanks for the replies. does anyone know what the delivery period for Altis Manual and Altis A/T is without Sun roof? And what about delivery period of Civic iVtec Auto and Manual?
And is there any way to get these cars delivered immediately if delivery period is more than one month? I need to have 1 by the end of December.

All CL9's available in the market are fuked up with reversed meters and are in abused condition. Above all spares are an issue and your biggest problem would be the low ride height (rendering you unable to travel to most areas in Pakistan or even in your very own city) and low resale. As people said, there is no comparison with a 0 meter car. Get a new corolla or civic depending upon your preferences

Altis is a better choice. -

The advantage of being brand new, warranty & the feel of Virgin interior

JDM cars are abused and digits are reversed to show under 75000 km at average and point of sale decline to provide auction report as well.

Corolla is better in terms of resale and its the latest model, whereas Civic will gets its new model next year so your Civic will become old model car ... I think best thing is to get Altis ... as per your questions, you need economic car, I don't thing CL9 is economic at all, if you get a Punjab reg CL9 you have to pay 2 Lac luxury tax every year (i think its more than enough, only the tax money will cost you 16k per month ...

@Darthvader: Hello Alright well this is a choice almost every other person with a budget of around 2 million has to make. In MY opinion, I suggest you should buy a CL9.

People here have this concept that ALL Honda Accords available here are abused, however, that is totally misleading. All you have to do is search for a nice clean one and I'm sure you will come across Accords that are kept with care.

Fuel consumption is obviously more than an Altis and a Civic but it's good considering its a K24.

Ride comfort and luxury is definitely better with the Accord.

Accords are built to last, our 1988 Accord was almost 500,000km driven when we sold it, never had any major problem with it, so yeah Accord will be VERY reliable and durable, no match with a Civic or an Altis here.

All spares are easily available and are not that expensive like some people would say, it's all worth it once you have an Accord.

Low ride height is not an issue, sounds exaggerated, drive with care and you'll actually enjoy the low ride height.

Forget the resale while buying a car, just a personal opinion, and not that the Accord has a bad resale.

Try looking for a low mileage Accord, and make sure the condition tells it's been driven that low, look for any signs of repainting, make sure it's a well maintained car, look for mechanical problems, you don't get any mechanical problems in an Accord this early but just to make sure, if all is good, it doesn't matter if it's driven 20,000km or 60,000km, go for it.

Like I said, not ALL Accords are abused, that's just what people think, you just have to search for the right one, you'll be more than glad to own one

I suggest you keep the CL7 as an option too

    Hope this helped

yeh woh exact word hin jo eik khatoon ne toyota ke showroom par bataye the.

cl9 high octance par chalti hai agar us ki dholki chole nahi hai tu 9-11 km araam se de gi, road clearance civic jitni hi hai interiro aur trunk vcivic se bara hai.

parts accord ke sab se mehnge hein kyun ke local nahi bante na har koi rakhta aur aap ka local mechanic bhi accord ko hath nahi lagaye ga.

aap apni choice mein se civic ko nikal dein agar local gari leni hai tu altis le len aur agar executive car leni hai tu accord len leon.

Dholki choke? I think you mean the catalytic converter, that's no biggy, you can always remove the catalytic converter if it's clogged.

I'll have to disagree with you here, any experienced mechanic can work on a CL9, it's no rocket science, it's just a K24 not a rare Honda G25.

Yeah parts are a bit expensive compared to Altis but then again, both cars are of a different category and the price difference is worth it.
