    Default Civic or Corolla ECOTEC

    Fellow Pakwheelers I'm in a bit of a dilemma and I need your help I really need to book a new 2012 car for my self next week, below are a few requirements that I need in the new Vehicle:

    1/ Good Resale value (After 5 years, as Ill keep the car for at-least that time)
    2/ CNG is a requirement unfortunately don't ask why and no suggestions not to install it etc as Its a requirement.
    3/ Prestige and safety.

    Over all I'm looking for a vehicle as a daily runner with hopefully little maintenance, my budget is max 1800000/-

    So Far I have narrowed the list down to:

    Toyota Corolla 1.3 ECOTEC (Because of the factory fitted CNG system but the over all finish and quality is poor)
    Honda Civic 1.8 Manual Transmission
    (over all the Quality and finish seems much better but, CNG will have to be installed at a later date)

    Please Make suggestions as I have to Book the car next week as delivery will take about 60 to 90 days

    @Javidzee,

    Instead of writing "Thanks for all the suggestions waiting for senior members to comment...". It would have been better if your statement would have been "Waiting for MORE members to comment".. Although by that time i hadnt seen your thread but personally i feel this statement a bit harsh for members who had suggested you..
    P.S:: Go for Ecotech

    @Ehsan4808: Thanks for your input I really appreciate it and I would like to add that I appreciate everyone's input in to helping me make this decision, sorry if you found my comments inappropriate I'll try be more careful next time around...

    So far I have decided that if I decide to go for corolla that Ecotec is ok but if I do go for the civic then CNG is not a good idea...

    I have finally decided to go with Toyota Ecotec, below are the reasons mostly suggestions from all my fellow Pakwheelers.

    1/ Toyota Corolla Ecotec can deliver economy of 5 rupees per KM while Civic would cost me around 10 Rupees per KM on petrol as I have decided that's it's not worth converting the civic to CNG.
    2/ Delivery date of Toyota Corolla Ecotec is last week in Jan 2012 while delivery date of Civic is Last week of March or April, Honda Defence could not confirm the delivery date at all....
    3/ Also the registration cost of The Ecotec is around 35k while Civic is about 85k.

    I would like to add I currently drive a Honda Civic 2006 (Not a Reborn) and I can surely say the quality of Honda in Pakistan is much much better compared to Toyota but I guess these are some things I'll have to live with ...

    ^^ Nevermind Bro....
    Ok so now its Ecotech.. Your will never regret your decision of Ecotech. I am a satisfied customer of Ecotech. Moreover here in punjab it costs 57,500/-Rs for the registration. When i bought it the invoice price was 16,49,000/-Rs. What is the invoice price currently? As registration cost is as per the invoice price and prices have been increased, so a little more would add up to the registration fee.

    Ecotec is going to be a prized possession as government has banned the import of CNG kits and cylinders.
    Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.
