Default Advice Requested: 2nd Family car

    Hello PakWheelers,

After being a long time lurker, finally decided to join and am looking for advice from this great community

As you can tell by my nickname I am a huge Honda fan, I own a Prosmatic 2010 and love it, however I am looking into buying a second car for the family by Feb/March.

The 2nd car's budget is max of 17-18 lakhs and we are looking for a sedan big enough for 4-5 family members to travel.

We will be using the 2nd car in Karachi for house hold stuff and for occasional trips to interior Sindh.

I will not be using CNG has I dont use CNG for any of my cars. The car will be strictly driven on petrol only, mostly by drivers, sometimes by me.

I am open to auto and manual, although would prefer auto. Looking forward to any suggestions on what to buy, I was looking at the Corolla 1.6 A/T and the Corolla 1.3 GLI manual as options, but again looking for advice from you all.

    Thanks,

    Zain

    Welcome to Pakwheels!!!

I would suggest going for altis as u already own a civic. Altis manual 6 speed would give u the perfect mileage but auto will give u comfort.

Id recommend a new zero meter City - Auto. The corolla isent the best of rides to begin with and secondly its way over priced. I think the 1.6 gli auto is like 17lak 90 plus registeration...and altis is in the 1850-19 lakh range which is again way over priced.

For a 2nd car, City auto is the best. Nissan has stopped production of the Sunny otherwise that would be a good buy too.

Another suggestion, get a 04/05 Accord CL-9 with low kms. Should cost around 16 lakhs, and way better than the local cars plus good for family.

    +1.
Auto city will be economical too. Because of 5speed AT. While corolla comes with 4 speed AT.
@Poster. If you are willing to buy a manual car. Altis 1.6 MT SR. is best.
Otherwise AT city is a best choice.

    Lightbulb

Buy a Pre-owned Toyota Fielder aka corolla state car aka station wagon 2006 or 2007 (imported from japan) will fit in your budget and has all the space & luxary of a car comes in 1.6 & 1.8 VVTI auto & manual variant.

Drivers can load stuff in rear bed and abusively drive on & off track as they wish without compromising the reliability.Advice Requested 2nd Family car -345977

^^^ Isent that going to be over 19 lakh?

Would everyone recommend a 1.6 GLI AT over a 1.6 Manual Altis?

And between a 1.3 City manual and a 1.3 City auto....which one is best?
