Default Should I buy Swift or Civic exi?

I've tried going through past threads, but didn't find any helpful information.

My question is, I have 1m budget, and I have 2 options.

    1. Civic exi
    2. Swift.

Also considering that I have family of three.

I like Civic for its shape and class, but 0 meters itself is also appealing.

    Im concerned about few things

    1. Civic Vs swift what is the difference in daily fuel consumption.
    2. Some one told me that as compared to Civic, maintenance of swift is costly. (swift spare parts are costly as compared to Civic?)

I appreciate any feedback in this regard.

75 + 40 more maximum on balance two lights.

it means 115 on a full cylinder...Good Average..

    so 530/ 115 = 4.60 per Km

    Am i right?????

Chaudhry bhai, about ur average... sorry yaar couldn't reply u earlier... busy in exams.

yaar as u have prosmatec civic, ur mileage in inter city driving is good but not awesome...

The problem that I can see is you flooring the gas pedal. Yaar NEVER depress the accelerator fully when starting ur drive from zero... An auto car will never accelerate like a manual one...

But it will drink more gas and petrol than u can ever imagine...

Just use light pedal when accelerating from zero... ur pedal will have its influence after ur car has exceeded 60kmh speed. Then u can floor it when u need.

and always keep ur tyre pressure at least 28 psi. Get ur spark plugs checked. Get new ones if necessary. NGK company plugs are suggested.

Ur mileage will somehow increase by 20 or 25 kms. But still, will not become awesome as u are using slightly wider tyres than stock size... (trust me it matters)

If u elaborate a bit more about ur car's current configuration, i'll be able u help u more, InshAllah... Always welcomed.

    i always check kg n rs both,it was 530rs n 6kg

yea i have noticed no matter even if i floor it from 0 it does not picks up the speed that quickly but after 60 it easily picks speed n i thought there's something wrong
i keep the tires air at 30
i got the car tuned on cng so plugs were opened n cleaned.
    carburetor serviced,throttle body serviced
    cng kit oil removed
air filter n oil filters changed,ac serviced, cng cylinder was little loose, got that fixed
tires are quite wide,i dont know how much they effect
i might have skipped something but i sent all details to immad bhai n he can quote that msg
whats the stock size of tires btw?
n which tire size is good for economy as well as road grip n everything keep everything balanced?
n also the wheel balancing n adjustment is left cox when i went there, shop guy said tires are worn out, come back with new tires or you'll be wasting money
visited another wheel balancing shop, the guy there said that tire's rubber is not flexible anymore n is hard now which is not good for suspension
still using same tires as cant change them being short on funds

    Thanks.

we all know this model of civic is no more available but swift is readily available so can we compare a 7-8 year old (used car) with a brand new zero meter car?

    insane....
    where did i say so??
hahahaha...man you are funny lol...engineering??i mentioned it as a barrier of comparison between two different leagues and you are taking that as an offence from my side over swift...wow!
    rofl...
ive already explained it quite alota times, both fall in different class, both got different potential when it comes to power, luxury, boot space, cabin space, quality, suspension, braking, handling, grip, cor nering, air conditioning bla bla bla.
I will again say to convince by repesenting logical proofs instead of avoiding the question by writing "LAME" "INSANE" "ROFL" etc etc.
what class are to reffering to?
a trunk with a slightly better space for rear passengers is class huh?
    cornering?
only having independant rear suspension arms does not makes it a rally car lil bro.
at the end of the day it is also a locally assembled family sedan designed to take you from point A to B.
just having a slightly bigger engine than the other rival cars in its category does not makes it a rally car.

try comparing a 60k driven swift with a 60k driven 7th gen civic. or if you want to compare swift with a new civic, compare it with 8th gen civic.
yes yes yes yes....you know aswell you cannot compare both in any of above mentioned case.
Once again you did not got my point.
is the brand new 2003-06 model available anymore?
swift is readily available and one can get almost all the features of 2003-06 civic in a brand new car.
60k driven swift obviously wont be better than a zero meter civic and vice versa. the wear and tear it will undergo during its 60k running will depreciate its value but still it will be very much comparable with a 60k driven civic because both have undergone almost the same wear and tear
now since you have ran out of arguments so now are trying to introduce the 8th gen civic.

SWIFT - a Brand new will fit in your budget comes with warranty & its brand new with dot maintenance schedule car can last over 200,000 km without engine problems.

Civic - Used with issue on maintenance may not be feasible

yes preferance and availibility are two different things but when when an item that you prefer is not available in the market then you have to search it with the people having it or using it.
you might even pay more value than the additional face value of that asset because you will be buying it in used condition.
you might have to spend some amount in bringing it to a state in which you like it and the headaches of finding it and then paying the amount demanded by the seller?
on the other hand when you can get all these features in a brand new, zero meter car without all this hassle?
the peace of mind of not having to visit workshops for any major repairs?
    is there any comparison?

    Well. Nice discussion.
    Coming to the topic.
@Op. Sir swift is a good car no doubt. But this car suites only a young single person. Not a person with family. Rear seat is just like a flat phatta believe me.
Civic 2005/06 is 10 times more better than swift.

get your cylinder filled up when pressure is max such as 200 bar.
reset the odo dont refill it untill the cylinder is completely empty and then record the in city mileage.
if it comes out more than 100-110kms then mention here.

    @beefy

Once upon a time my family had '10 Million' and we had to buy a car. The options were

    1) Brand new E250
    2) Brand new 5 series
    3) Brand new Audi A6
    4) 2008 BMW 745Li
    5) 2007 S500

And guess what? We went for the '4th' option and Alhamdulilah we are fairly happy with it. Even though the 7 series is almost 4 years old but still its comfort, safety and performance level is unmatched by newer 530i/E250/A6 [2.0 TFSI].

Similarly a 2005/6 civic is STILL 'better' than BRAND NEW swift provided the civic is in 'atleast' in good condition if not 'excellent'.

    Simply isnt it?

    Coming to the topic.
@Op. Sir swift is a good car no doubt. But this car suites only a young single person. Not a person with family. Rear seat is just like a flat phatta believe me.
Civic 2005/06 is 10 times more better than swift.
In the current case the guy wants a car for him and his spouse and a little kid.
    what should be your preferance?
a brand new zero meter swift with no issues for alteast 2 years or the hassle of searching for a 6-7 years used car with no guaruntee of the condition in which it was previously used?
