4.5 is better then 3.5
what is so difficult about it?
same like 7 figure salary is better then 6 figures.
3.5 grade ki gari sasti hogi .. or zaida chali huwi hogi . 4.5 grade ki gari kaam chali huwi hogi or bohut saaf hogi simple
I think it goes on the condition of the vehicle. The numbers (3,4,5) are one classification while the letters (a or simple) is another. All I know is that 5A are the cleanest top notch, spotless cars. This grading is given by the customs people at the time of export and the sheet comes with the car. In this are mentioned the other particulars of the vehicle. One needs the sheet at the time of import, registration, etc. but it is better if kept later on also to prove genuine grading by a competent authority rather than one's own self assumptions/lies as is the case here.
Well in most of cases(not necessarily true) 4.5 is better then 3.5. But here's my experience from car import:
Each Auction house has its own repute and some Island's auction houses are more reputed in credibility of their auction sheets then others e.g USS Yokohama , USS Tokyo are the leaders.
Secondly regarding grading system (R,RA,X,3,3.5,4,4.5) the general experience is following:
R: Means Repaired is considered worse then RA but Better then X. Can contain 'XX' pieces but mostly contains W3,W2 or B3,B4 (meaning shower due to large dent/scratch or visible large dent scratch) and mileage is higher then 1 lakh
3/3.5: Now in these grades their are high variables , some times grade is marked below 4 just because according to auction house standards over 1 lakh whatever the condition may be grade is usually down to 3.5 or 3 but their are many cases in which a 3.5 grade car is better then 4 or 4.5 because 3.5 overall exterior in terms of damage is near to nill and its grade has been lowered just due to mileage.
More usual cases lying in this category are over 1 lakh mileage and with smal dents,visible scratces , or pieces showered due to small/medium dents scratches.
4/4.5: Normally these have less then 1 lakh mileage and excellent interior / exterior quality but beware this is misleading too.Sometimes with 3 pieces'XX' the car is also marked 4 due to very low mileage or due to in certain cases 'TYPO' errors in auction sheet i.e the car had to be marked 'R' but was marked '4'.
According to standard even if 1-2 pieces are showered(w1,w2) if mileage is low and over all exterior interior and perks(tv nav) are their it is marked 4 or 4.5 but exactly in these cases u have to see if some 3.5 grade is avb with mileage hight but no W's that 3.5 would be better then this. Cox mileage is not the indicator only for japan cars cox envronmentol degrading factors are very less their.
I hope u can get some sense out of all this but this is my personal experience might be mistaken somewhere and some more experienced member can add to my knowledge.
Thanks for very comprehensive reply.

according to some dealer hazraat in Karachi.
the grading tells you "gaari ki kitni vaat lagee howee hai" - one dealer also gave me a scale in his own words.
S = LUSH
R = FARIGH
btw - most dealers hate me in Karachi, because I arrived with OBD scanners and general inspection tools. Even a mirror on a stick.
