    Default Indus motors scr**ed me

    Hi guys I need your help I had booked a Gli manual 2 months ago in red wine color from Toyota central, I got a call last night saying we can't give you red wine as it has been over booked plz choose another color.

    Firstly what's the point of paying for full in advance to book a car and then not get the one you wanted.doesnt ore booking mean you know how many cars to produce in each color?

    Anyways I need your advice on what to do. I asked them how long the wait is for red wine color they said June and they aren't going to give me priority delivery on any color.

    Need your suggestions

    Practically not possible, where did you get the call from? Toyota Indus or the Toyota dealership? if its the dealership, a few abusive sentences, a harsh aggressive attitude and a few sentences that show your relationship with the privileged would solve your problem.. trust me, it works

    Delivery time is said to be June end. I'm trying to negotiate with them but has anyone had this happen to them beore

    phone call is not enough. specially at night, someone tried to pull a prank on you for your boosting or soemthing,

    Toyota is legally bound to provide you what you choose and paid for, further they must advise you in writing at the correspondence address and give you options.

    What is the delivery date written on the Papers you get ? which color does it mention ?

    a) Contact Indus motors your self.
    b) If they delay the delivery they pay you something, (im not sure how is that amount calculated, A pw member and my uncle are people a know who got rebates on late deliveries)

    c) Indus motors can change color specs as ritten in terms and conditions, at the time of booking you have a option to opt for 2 colors (primary and secondary)

    d) At the time of booking our 08 Gli we were said gun mettalic not avalible due to issues at berger factory.

    e) At the time of boooking our 2011 Gli, We were told medium silver has some issue but your car should be delivered in a months time, We got it in 3 working days

    f) Ask them all the posibilities, and you are eligable for a rebate, They should have had warned you about the over booking etc. As this is no excuse. Everything is done online, imean the dealer doesnt provides you the delivery time, They make the booking online and Toyota Indus gives the tentative delivery dates. Mentioned on the booking performa/(what ever its called) green walli copy
    Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

    Thanks guys for all the help
    A) I have talked to my booking agent this is the 4 th car I am booking from same agent so I don't know why this happened this time.
    B) delivery time was stated as April
    C) tentative date is not being given by the dealership of when the new stock of redline will be delivered
    D) I have got a rebate before when the car was late by 2 weeks it was for 3000 rs, which I think is pathetic
    E) I can't afford to pay premium

    Things I'm gonna do
    1- go to dealership myself tomorrow
    2- write a letter to Indus motors complaining about dealer ship
    3- try to use some contacts

    act naive, innocent do not mention what you know.
    Goto dealership asking an update for delivery schedule as it is already late, wait & see what he comes up with then twist some arms and use boots to kick below the belt.

    Agreed with Chinyoti...He has guided you in Golden words....

    Out of the 3 action points in your mind, I suggest you to opt for Point#2.

    - write a letter to Indus motors complaining about dealer ship.........

    and not a single letter...send them emails repeatedly keeping all the concerned Dealership members and the INDUS Sales management... you can get the Indus management email address by calling their complain number and get the Sales Manager contact from the correspondent...

    By doing this, I hope you'll get the car in your desired color within a week.

    Dont write a letter, God knows when would it reach them and when would they take an action, Contact them directly, Email them threaten them ur contacting Toyota Japan. Also claim for maximum rebates.
