    Default Altis Cruisetronic with Navigation

Which Corolla 1.6L Dual VVTi you will buy and why? Corolla GLi A/T, Corolla Altis M/T, Corolla Altis A/T or Corolla Altis M/T SR?

    GLi A/T: 1769k
    Altis M/T: 1839k, 70k more from base
Altis A/T: 1929k, 160k more from base, 90k for A/T gearbox and Cruise Control
Altis M/T SR: 1929k, 160k more from base, 90k for Sunroof and Rain Sensing Wipers

Corolla Altis A/T SR is out of budget and please refrain from dragging other competitive cars like Civic or JDMs!

Update: Altis A/T in Red Wine was suggested by most of the fellow PWers; and the same was purchased!

i would choose from gli a/t and altis manual..

If my use will be only city driving and some monthly trip vai motorway i would choose GLI a/t

If bit of city use and frequent trips out of city using single road with alot of buses and trucks nothing beats a manual in that situation. then altis manual.

and if you really get your self in airbag debate then altis a/t in place of gli a/t
    RIP

This will be for my dad; he uses the car very sparsely and will keep it for long time. The last one was driven ~90k in ~10 years; and his usage is even further decreased since I have moved back. No motorways, just on and off visits to "zameen" and that too is hardly 5-6 Kms on the highway. It will be more like for my peace of mind that he has the conveyance at his disposal.

SE Saloon M/T was his last car and it was sold quick fetching reasonable amount even being so old and that I guess because it was "Manual". Buyers of such old cars usually come from smaller cities and they prefer Manual cars. I might be wrong but this is my perception...?

hmm Altis does worth ... But in your case... your Dad (i hope) does not drive fast, we does need like racing or something, so GLI is compact car with same look as ALTIS.... equipped with ABS....., decent sound system and all the average things a person wants in his car... in Altis we get almost same things but with little better built quality!!!!

We younger are conscious to have newer things and newer models... and trust me Your dad gona keep his GLI much better than us...

Altis got different Side Skirts and Alloys which i think does not concern ur Dad!!! so you not u save your money and buy a Security Guard for ur Dad

Altis A/T is a very nice package. the additional 160k is totaly worth every penny plus oem means peace of mind.

Theres hardly anything that you would add aftermarket. besides (seat covers, Mats, tire change if you wanto).

keeping it simple, The difference is only what is of Xli/Gli. People tend to may a 1.25 lack more for power windows and ABS (in other words a complete car).

Its the same case with Gli A/T and Altis A/T choice is urs. But in the end the Altis A/T wud sell at a higher price when compared to a Gli A/T (of a similar model and condition)
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Sir , If you are buying for your father then A/T is a better and feasible option !

If you want to save then GLI A/T is a better option. I am sure the age bracket of your father is such that he'll not be intrigued by Alloy Rims and other cosmetics gimmicks.

Of course if the budget allows , then Altis A/T is the Best choice keeping an additional feature of "Cruise Control" and other cosmetics... so here is my order of preferences

    1. Altis A/T
    2. GLI A/T
