    Default Axio vs Altis

    AuA

I am a bit confused about choosing between Axio 2007 and new Altis 1.6 A/T.

I was almost going for Axio but then many people discourage me about its re-sale. Hence I have got inclined towards Altis.

I am switching from Civic Prosmatic BTW after a long relationship. Main problem I face with Civic is it's poor clearance (hits almost every poorly constructed speed breaker and bumps) and higher consumption (Petrol as well as CNG).

    Any suggestions would be useful.

    Regards

    Anjum

Thanks. But I want to know about Altis A/T.

Corolla people were saying it would be 11-13 within city and 15-17 on longer route.

    Does that make sense.

Excellent topic; I have often wondered myself. Altis also offers sunroof and rain sensors to say the least but I think I would still go for Axio reason being it Japanese, more comfortable (note the seats of any JDM v/s local vehicle), better manufacture, greater reliability and finer quality to say the least.

As regards fuel consumtion, it was only yesterday when a driver shared that his automatic Altis 2011 covers anywhere between 500-550 km/tank but Axio does 400-450 km.

Axio G grade all the way. It's more comfy then ALTIS. with more features.
One more thing which I have noticed that When car is in idle position. A person standing near to car can easily notice the engine sound of Altis. But in case of AXIO. Sound is negligible.
Rest @Vajih102 has explained the differences very well.

Resale of Axio is good as Altis.

Engine Parts are same, so no problem

    Axio G is also loaded

    Key less Entry (Push Start)
    Parking Sensors
    Excellent Build Quality
    More Airbags
    Also has eco mode
    etc

Most Important being the immobilizer for me because Corolla is the most stolen car.

The only bad part is that Axio is lower and will hit speed bumps

    Ouch!!!

@ady901 - That last sentence really hit me hard.

I am using the current Civic Prosmatic for the last 4 years. And before that also I kept the earlier version of Prosmatic for another 4 year. Its a wonderful car.

However, one of the key reasons (mentioned in my original post) behind leaving Civic is its poor clearance. It hits every other speed bump despite the packing.

If Axio is really that low, then I think it's out.

Axio is High as Altis is.

    Altis has Very Good Resale.
    Parts Availability.
Not very good Built Quality as compared to Axio.

    And if you buy Axio:

    Very Good Built Quality(As Japanese).
    More features available than Axio
    Hard to find spare Parts.
Poor Resale as compared to Altis.

There is No match of Honda Civic Reborn. If you had problem with speed brakers than you can put spacers with Shocks or you can do a lot with its Height.
But fuel Consumption is Not better than Altis.
