Default ***Please help in finding a VIGO***

    Salam Brothers

I am looking for Toyota VIGO Champ .... so far I have the following info. Please help with your knowledge/experience.

Toyota VIGO Champ has two models; Thailand and Indus

Thailand Model is 3000cc diesel engine and after 40 to 50 thousand mileage they start producing smoke cus of low quality diesel in Pakistan. So people prefer Indus model rather then this one. A 2007 model has equal price to Indus VIGO Champ brand new (auto tranny).
Indus Model will be brand new and 2500cc diesel engine is 'successful' in Pakistan. Its cheaper than Thailand model.

I am selling my Mitsubishi Pajero 3-door and yesterday searched the market in Pindi region and found an Indus VIGO 2012 model with only 3800kms on the clock, unregistered, with price tag of 3.2 million. Thats an auto transmission. People told me that auto tranny is better than manual as it gives a smooth ride, I understand that being a 'pickup' it has no comparison with the smooth ride of SUVs but still I am crazy about this truck. I had the pleasure of owning a Chevrolet Avalanche in Houston few years back. Which transmission you guys prefer with 4X4 option. Please assist me in this regard.

    Thanks

It does not matter which Transmission it is on a 4x4. manual or auto does not effect performance in offroading or any other sort of terrain. It only matters if one needs to tow something... and i dont think you will be towing anything so choice is your.

indus and thai models engine displacement is different but the type is same which is D4D so theory of one working and one not working is not accurate.

Thanks guys and many of my friends agree with driftk1ng my cousin especially who says "Pair dabao to gari uthay wala touch". I saw one thai model as well at Muree road 'SJ-111' with Rs. 3.2 million demand, year 2007. Qwertypoiu has the logic but lets see what others say.

ask Sharabhi he can arrange a JDM Hi-LUX 4x4 Twin Cab Thai machine is crap I have used it for a two triangular trips between Karachi, NoDero, Khuzdar, Karachi while doing recci over the under-construction highway linking Khuzdar & Sukkar , an old 2004 surf was more enduring and 'Thrusty on climbs' then the Thai Vigo. Indus VIGO will roll out in Sept 2012 so far all units are Imported from CHINA - will appreciate correction from any Indus insider
