Default Opinion of Expert PWers Required

I need to buy a car. Pl enlighten with your valuable suggestions. I have a budget of 1.2 mn. I have a family with 2 kids. Car will be required for daily use like going to office, dropping kids off to school. Mostly running will be within city. I prefer auto tranny. Fuel efficiency and resale are to be considered besides comfort. Initial thoughts in my mind are 2008 city or 2009 vitz. Thanks in advance

city steermatic is a very good option, resale as well as comfort, as well as city idsi vario

lancer is the most luxurious car in 1300cc and 1600cc category but finding a clean one is a hard job plus the car has very poor resale as our people's minds don't go beyond toyota and honda. however, you can opt for fresh imported 1500cc lancer 2007 model, they have ABS and airbags as well

vitz is also good but it will be good if you self-import one rather than buying from any dealer, the disadvantage of vitz is that it is a hatchback, very less trunk space, not value for money as paying 1.2 million for a 4 year old 1000cc car is pointless in my view

you can also opt for 2005-6 corolla altis automatic

    try belta as well
    8th Gen Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 GLX 2006; 3rd Gen Toyota Prius 1.8 S-Touring 2010; 11th Gen Toyota Corolla 1.3 GLi AT 2014.

Huzaifa claims steermatic feels more economical as he has kept several idsi's as well
but resale of idsi is better imo
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

If you an find the "jdm cultus" that was imported alongside the vitz etc, its a great buy, its got the old 3 cyl 1.0 engine with EFI along with automatic transmission. Its parts are exactly the same as the local PS cultus - hence no problems in servicing. It was also imported under the subaru brand - same car - just different badge.
