Default Suggestion: Honda Civic 2008 1.3L Sedan Hybdrid

    Salam All,
I am planning to purchase subject car. Can anyone please let me know how wise is my decision regarding its maintenance and battery life. Can I get a car in good condition whose battery system is not messed by local mechanics. What is life of its batteries and can I run it if battery system is out of order.

    regards!

Recently, I met a Civic Hybrid owner. He wasn't the happiest person in the world. He told me the avg fuel consumption was 9-10km/L. He wanted to get rid of this car and switch with Prius.

I personally believe, if you want to buy a Hybrid, go for Prius. Remember, Prius & Civic Hybrid has different hybrid technology. See comparison at wikipedia.org - and search Prius hybrid or Hybrid cars.

Honda's hybrid technology (at least in 2007 civic) is not as advance as Toyota's. Prius electric motor can push the car up to certain speed limit without engine where in civic's electric motor is not powerful enough to do it alone. Prius is very very efficient car hence the best selling hybrid on the planet.
