Default JDM OR Local -- 12 LAC budget

    AoA,

I need suggestions for buying a family car.

I am currently using Alto 2009 on Petrol because getting CNG is problem for me .. long queues and Gas loadshedding etc.

    - so i need a car with more rear seat space
    - luggage space (Diggi or something)
    - Fuel Economy
    - Car for pakistani roads.
    - Low maintanance
    - Can keep it for next 5-10 years
    - daily usage is not high.. office to home and home to office. 3-4 round trips (700 KM ) per year to my village my alto has done 30 K KM only in 3 years

I was gonna go with swift (new) but reviews are not that good. What JDM suits me best .. I have heared all JDM that are coming to pakistan gone through major repaints and reparing.

suggest me car that gives less problems .

Get a used city without CNG.
    OR
If you have a 100% surety that JDM that you are buying is a genuine car, then go for a belta

I own a city 2012. Using 195/65/15 yokohama Db. And from my experience, I can tell you that no such thing happens. The ride height is sufficient, and these tyres have brought about further improvement. So 'bila wajah nai lagti on khadas and stuff' Even on 'vehshi' humps near bhatta chowk, my car perfectly crosses them. Moreover, i have had another city too last year - 2011 model. It was run on stock tyre profile i.e 175/65/15. It too didn't have such issues. So unless there is something wrong with the suspension of the car, or it is excessively over-loaded, i don't think this problem exists.

Oh and one more thing, city's suspension is very stiff. Don't expect corolla's comfort. Getting yokohamas greatly improved the comfort level, yet I find a significant difference whenever i ride my father's Gli. I hope you know this. The rest, everything is great, infact i find every other aspect better than corolla's. city is more of a boys' car type. P.S Corolla lovers, don't flame me for my opinion, I have both cars in my family, this is my personal opinion.

The only car satisfying all your above needs is a PKDM Corolla. You can get a previous shape Corolla in your budget or increase a bit and get the current shape.

JDM would have suited you if driving pleasure, and car features was a priority and maintenance not an issue for you....which you havent mentioned. Expect JDM to cost you something if you ever require body parts, and while superb driving in city and good roads...road clearance can be an issue for our rural roads with their potholes and car (speed) breakers.

Similarly, other PKDMs like City/swift doesn't have as much rear space and neither is it as good on pakistani roads.

depends which category u want , if u want a hatchback then u have so many options n the best will be vitz or passo , if sedan then mitsubishi lancer or belta , if station wagon then wingroad , imported lancer was unable to make a huge hit here otherwise its a classy car
    I Love JDM Cars . . .

^Wrong!. PKDM cars perform very well If kept with care. I ill suggest you to go for City 2008 in this budget. If you can increase .5 or a lac more. you can get a decently used 2009 city in lahore.
I'm using city 2010 with 60k clocked on ODO. I can say It's still going strong M.A. and far more better than belta in terms of drive and fuel efficiency.
JDM's are headache when it comes to maintenance. Parts are not available easily everywhere.
