About belta only one thing is said that its an underpowered car that is why it has a very low resale value.

Belta is known as Yaris sedan in Aust & The UK with engine variants from 1.0L , 1.3L & 1.6L engines. I don't understand what you mean by future? The size of car for a 1.0L engine is surely big but overall the BELTA sedan is better then used suzuki cultus of same year.

Reason of low sale: (This is my personal opinion)

First: Same year (2007) suzuki cultus in best condition is selling between 6 and 7 lacs. Where as when 1.0 litre jdm cars are being offered more than 1.1 million and one still has to spend nearly 1 lac to make it road worthy.

Second: Considering that the car has already been fully used for 5 years in a country where car is less respected than our country, will require a strong after sale service, which is not available.

Third: The car surely has luxury features but the mass population of our country has not reached to the level where they spend 1.2 million for a luxury of 2~3 years and then dispose it as a junk.

Only formula for JDM success could be when more features are offered in the same price as local, which is unfortunately not the case under current economic situations

I think in the long run its resale will pick up as people realise its value as compared to local cars and their lack of features. Frankly speaking, its NOT an underpowered car in any way and the pick is excellent if maintained well.

Resale is getting better. Its a quality model and i think that its outlook will get better with time
