Question Toyota Belta 1000CC or 1300 CC? Suggestions Welcomed!

    Hi friends,
I am willing to purchase Toyota Belta 2007+ model, Preferably imported within 2-3 months back and less than 30,000 Km milage.

Please suggest me about this car as i have two options to go for, Either 1300CC or 1000CC??
I would be using it purely on Gasoline petrol (Not CNG) so do you think 1000CC would create pick/power trouble with AC or load??

Do you think Belta is overall a good option in it's price range or we have some other options as well?

    Looking forward for your suggestions!

    Regards,
    Khurram

Belta is noisy just like vitz. It annoys when you drive it on high rpm's or on highways. I have experienced this thing on 1.0L Belta. Not sure about 1.3 but heard someone complaining about this issue in 1.3L also.

Some members correctly pointed out resale issue of this car. This car has poor resale as compared to other cars in this price bracket.

Why just belta? Consider PKDM Corolla GLI , City 09 onwards or Corolla X/G(JDM). These are better cars in drive/shape and have very good resale and you will be having peace of mind.

    Regards.
I have 2006 Belta 1.3 G edition with Push Start. you are talking about resale value. Well, Let me tell you that i have four buyers lined up for my car and i am not selling it because i won't find any good car with all the option in this price range ( 1.2 to 1.3 Mil). The only car i can think of is Honda city but there is no comparison as Belta is far more superior luxury wise

I have Belta 1.3 G edition with push start. i recommend you go for it because it is giving me 14+ average per litre with AC. In this price range, there is no better car than Belta 1.3 as Honda City can not compete with Belta when it comes to luxury drive, Road grip and security features ( airbags and anti theft system)

Honda city Aspire 1.3 has many plus points equally good compared to Belta (minus airbags) plus it has more sportier shape than Belta's along with better resale than belta

With Due respect, you only mentioned ( minus airbags). i have Belta 1.3 , it has PUSH START, climate control ( Select AC Between 16 gegrees to 30 degrees), roof blower, airbags, abs brakes, auto front light adjuster, Company fitted low and high HIDS, Digital Meter, and the list goes on. can you please describe me MUCH MORE PLUS features of Honda City 1.3 Aspire that can compete with my Belta's features? Im sure there are none. Anyways , City has sportier look when it comes to front side ONLY, Back side is just not upto sporty mark.

As far as resale is concerned , you are right about that only if you own a Belta 1000cc with No options. You can check the market , Belta 1.3 edition with push start is rare and short and anyone who is selling Belta 1.3 G edition has no problem of selling it.

I can tell you my experience that 5 persons are willing to buy my ride but i am hesitating as i can not find a car withe these options in that price range. Cheers

1.3L is better than 1L, be it Belta, Vitz, Passo or whatsoever.

If you want a car to drive majorly in the city and few times on highway then 1.0L is enough, the best part is some people say that it is underpowered which is the advantage as what ever the conditions are i.e. if your pedal touches the floor still the average will not be affected much.

I'd totally disagree with you here bro. You said that " some people say that it is underpowered which is the advantage as what ever the conditions are i.e. if your pedal touches the floor still the average will not be affected much."

The less CC the engine is, the more fuel it will require for combustion when you ask for it's dead-end power, when people say "pressing the pedal till the metal". This is because the engine is reviving at it's full hence it'll require more ' Litre per km' and when you'd want the same speed in your 1.3L it'll be faster even when you havent pressed the pedal till that metal because it's comparatively a bigger engine, hence it'll be using lesser power to reach till that speed of 1.0L while consuming lesser fuel than that feminine roaring 1.0 at it's dead-end reviving power.

So as per your analysis a 4 liter engine will be more fuel efficient than a 660cc engine

Bro as per my analysis, if you take your 4L to 120-130 speed , it'd be not harsh to your engine, so this remains a normal circumstance hence it'll give expected normal mileage BUT if you dare to take your 660cc to 120-130 speed (which is I think impossible in an stock car) it'll not reach to the desired speed i-e 130 but when it'd come at 110 or 120 it'll be reviving very high meaning that engine will be at it's dead-end power so it'll give you very low mileage because of too much output is being demanded out of a little machine where as it'll be no biggie for your 4L, hence consuming it's fuel a bit more than usual but not a vast mileage diff, do try it bro, you'll notice.

And ofcourse 660cc is top of the line far efficient than giant 4L IN NORMAL DRIVING.
