Default Which car to buy: Altis A/T or Civic 9th Gen A/T I-Vtec

Guys - i just sold my 2010 Gli and now looking to buy a zero meter car. I am planning to get a 2013 model so ordering at the

end of december to get 2013 invoice.

I like both Altis and Civic.
    Planning to get either
Both are amazing cars. My only concern is that the car is going to be a daily runner and will

be commuting around 60-70KM daily. so good fuel average and build quality/suspension is critical.

    Also please avoid:

    -no toyota vs honda war
-no point of mentioning 1.6 vs 1.8: please we all know this difference so no need to elaborate on this
-no need of power/pickup comparison. we all know which car is more powerful

So just need your advice between the two based only on Fuel average, build quality/suspension. and overall resale.

    Also suggest a color

The SUB will do what the BOX tells it to do!

Altis is no doubt a good car.. I sold my 1.6 altis at/sr after three days because; Acceleration is sluggish, had a high risk of getting stolen and I was getting 1lac on the invoice price as it was not easily available those days ..

Sir ji the only point which is concerned is about the fuel consumption of Civic.Else if you like to be in a amazing cockpit go for Civic.Looks and style etc.but if your major concern is fuel then you need to decide which one is heavy on your pocket.I think this new civic has some fuel economy system but remember it is 1.8 not 1.6 its expense will be more than Corolla Altis

In December people do not buy cars to get next year mentioned on reg book. So I think you will easily get any car you like if you are not nosy about having 2013 on the reg book
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

Bro so if thts the case then , i 'd suggest u to go for a 0 meter Brandnew top of the line 8th Gen VTi Oriel Prosmatec with navigation , check the price list , the prices are really attractive for such a nice 0 meter car ...
if we compare 9th gen and 8th gen , then it depends on personal preference , majority still loves 8th gen anyways
But 8th Gen 0 meter is much much better than Altis 0 meter and m saying this from experience , but fuel avg is not as good as new civic or 1.6 altis , but its nt bad either , as it is a 5 speed auto , if u drive it decently and with Rpms below 2.5 , u ll get a good avg ...
The reason y ppl complain abt its avg is , this car really loves to rev and then obv u cant get a good avg

Best of luck in deciding n purchasing

. i think in price scenario we can not compare both as they have a hug price difference .. in that price altis is an awesome option .. but civic is more elegant though :

Guys please tell me which colour looks the hottest on 9th Gen Civic...Honestly I feel there is a tough comparison between White and Silver...For the previous shape Reborn...No doubt White was the hottest colour but seriously what I think is that on New Civic Silver has the most appeal...Just my persional opinion...You guys please tell what you feel!!!
For swift and gutsy response use CIVIC!!!

I am using Altis as my daily runner and currently getting a consumption of 12 kmpl in LHR. I took it the northern areas this past summer and got an average of 14 kmpl. This consumption was averaged on the following route:
    Islamabad-Abbotabad-Nathiagali-Murree-Islamabad.
On Motorway it was 15+ kmpl.
For colour, I'd recommend the new Deep Blue Metallic (Colour Code: 8TO).
I'd choose Civic over Altis any day if my travel was limited to Motorway/Highway. It offers much more driving pleasure on such a travel route. However, Altis offers much more robustness for in-city travel. The upright driving position of Altis facilitates a lot while navigating through dense city traffic. Civic's laid down sitting position is meant for a relaxed travel, like on Motorway.
    I would agree with what is said here, I have been driving Altis for past 2 years its a wonderful car to drive in the city. I have been driving Civic earlier, I shifted to Altis for the following reasons;
    • Smooth and soft ride.
    • Upright driving position.
    • Cruise control & Tiptronic gearbox.
    • Powerful engine.

I am very happy with my car, as regards to fuel consumption there is no comparison Altis is much more fuel efficient.

Depends on your way of use.
If you are going to drive on carpeted roads then civic all the way!

If u also happen to visit some village or rural areas etc then altis i would recommend

One thing to consider. Maybe learned members can answer. What is the theft frequency of Automatic Altis? Is it loved as much by thieves as they love the Manuals?

Altis by name is less prone to theft as compared to Gli or Xli. However there are always chances of theft.

Someone with statistics of Altis theft can better explain.

I think Indus should act responsible putting immobilizer in Corolla.

    Today went to honda motors.
Ivtec prosmatec waiting time is 3months

They also had black colored Reborn oriel prosmatec with navigation full features. Zero meter. It was on discount. it was for 1946k.. amazing price seriously!! Compared to altis.
