D15B VTEC vs R18, how does D15B wins? with less torque and less BHP?

As you can clearly see from the stats above that R18 should be more fuel efficient and more powerful then D15B VTEC but I have heard and also experienced that D15B VTEC can easily beat R18 and its also more fuel efficient? any senior members on it that why it happens? and do you also experience the same?
As per my experiennce, no.
Stock d15b cannot take lead from r18. Yes, I've seen d15b with chipped ecu and stage1 mods easily smoking r18.
It would also depend which car you're running on d15b. Charade with stock d15b will give tough time to 8th gen civic r18. Same d15b in 5th/6th gen civic, then r18 8th gen will lead. (assuming equal launch and shifting skills of both drivers)
I even lost with 1.8 altis on my stock d15b (roll-on)
hmm ok and please also share your experiences regarding fuel consumption as per the stats the R18 should be more economical but again in my experience D15B VTEC is more economical .. so also share your experience and opinion about fuel efficiency too along with the power and speed ..
hmm and what do you think is the reason for it? as you can see R18 has less RPM for its maximum power and torque so technically R18 should be more fuel efficient also they both are 3 stage VTEC so why then D15b is more fuel efficient?
d15b 3stage works on only 12valves under 3k rpm
r18 also has economy mode till 3500 rpm efficiently managed through i-vtec, yet it is not switching off valves like d15b 3stage but partially closing and reducing the fuel intake according to throttle response.
and 1.8L displacement would need more fuel to burn as compared to 1.5 (81x87mm vs 71x84mm b/s)
