    Default City idsi Tailing

    hey guys HAPPY NEW YEAR first of all.. guys i have city idsi and few days back i noticed a very strange behavior of my car ..actually i was going on a straight road at a speed of 70 to 80 kmph...just for a sake of checking grip i slightly turned my stearing right and left..again right again left and what i noticed is pretty strange..my car was tailing from the back..tried many times and it was like floating on the water from the back.lolss....i bought new shoes for her like a week before and after that i tested it...i own a xli aswell but it doesnt do that...so what i wanted to ask is that its normal??? anyone else who owns a city ever noticed it???my city is all stock and the suspension never ever opened...it has just clocked 35k now..pls need ur suggestions

    i have experienced it too .... its happens with idsi city, drive carefully and avoid speedy turns, it brakes good in straight line rather cutting so i suggest drive it very carefully. U will experience this mostly while climbing mountain or specially murree express way on way back

    @Poster

    When you are alternately throwing the weight of the car sideways in speed, how do you expect it to maintain rear traction. I am no expert on RWD but you are lucky you were driving an FWD during your test that has an inherent trait to straight out itself in an event of rear traction loss (Provided- the front wheels are compensated in the right direction).

    I am assuming the reference of an XLI is due to the fact that its notorious for early grip loss in sudden brakes. If thats the case, possibly the XLi allows more camber compensation on rear wheels when weight is shifted (Sideways- Not forward). Or perhaps, due to its softer and thus relatively unpredictable suspension, you could not test it to its limits.

    Stay safe. Drive safe. These vehicles are not for such road tests.

    @rustam
    Thanks for the detailed reply brother. Im not a shokah kind of a monda. I just did it as to check the grip of new tyres. I supposed only way out of it is to drive slow rather its xli or idsi. At first instance i thought that this problem is related to my car only but on research and by ur comment i can imagine that its normal. Thanks again nd other member comments are needed as well

    depends on how you turned it side ways (speed). if it was done sensibly, it is possible tha your rear shocks/springs have become weak.

    Well I am facing the same scenario in my city. Whenever I travel in mountainous terrain I tend to drive very carefully.
