Default Is it right way to save some fuel??? Pros and Cons??

Aoa. Members i have got a suggestion from a friend that on long routes fuel can be saved by following method.
Accelrate ur car and then put ur car in neutral mode and do it again and again till the required distance is covered. Only if u are very good at analyzing the gear shifts u can save fuel considerably.
Guys is it a good practice?? Or it may harm ur vehicle???

Well once you drive a car that digitally monitors your fuel consuption several myths can be tested yourself.
In my humble experience this myth is Busted, meaning this will not work.
Best fuel effecient way is a constant speed of about 80-90 km/h
However cruising ( letting your foot off the accelerator pedal) down hill is a good idea.

    Keeping the rpm low,
Early gear shifting up when not accelerating,
A light foot on the pedal,
    Least braking,
    Proper tire inflation,
    Lower grade engine oil,
Non-locking brakes (when brakes are not applied),
Avaioding extra clutch slipping (full-engaging at lowest rpm),
Drafting behind a larger vehicle on long ruotes...

are the key factors of hyper miling. Just google it.

    https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/per...mileage-petrol
Its called Hypermilling. Read the link in detail for your better understanding.
I adopted this technique for more than 4 months. My personal experience is that It sure works but only on highways and long routes. I didnt get anything outta it in local city driving.

Kanjoosi tau tab ho jab petrol behesaab ho... yahan tau petrol kay liyay bhi qataar may lagoo

secondly one should not even use water in excess even if he is sitting beside a river... petrol tau zameen say nikal kar process, transport aur khareedna parta hay wo bhi 2 gunaa tax day kar...

These are the best steps u can take to minimize fuel comsumption
u can also do the practice given by ur friend when u r sure that u have to stop after a while than u can put ur car in neutral and let is stop by itself like stopping before a signal or petrol pump
Can,t think of a better signature

Another option is to rig the O2 sensor fooling ECU to give lean mixture. It might save you some fuel but the engine will run hotter and you might damage it.

in a neutral, car can easily slip and this is very dangerous specially when road is slippery and u r coming downside. best is to drive slowly on 5th gear. u can move the accelerator peddle slightly up and down when require.
