Default Need friendly advice please ^_^

    Hi boys&girls at PakWheels =)

I am a 17-year old boy who recently moved to Pakistan for further studies, originally live in Norway so yeah ain't got much
    information about pakistan :O.

Planning to buy my first car(Thanks mom <3) but i am not sure which one to go for, i got a few in mind since it's my first time
driving something that will belong to me and i need something easy to drive etc.

    I got a few choices in mind and the car will be brand new, most preferably 2013 model;

    1) Suzuki Swift DLX

    2) Suzuki Alto VXR(or the best one in the class)

    3) Daihatsu Coure( the best one)

I tried driving my uncle's Corolla XLI 2009 model, but urrm it didn't go too well, hit the car in a few places and it is massive lol.

will driving without license be a problem, considering i will take family to Faisalabad, Multan and Samundri etc. and i am turning 18 in August... <.<

Thanks for reading such a long post, but i just wanted to make myself clear =)
And to the amazing Moderators here, please move the thread where it truly belongs, sorry for any inconvenience :3
TL;DR: Need a car for first time driving, i am 17 years of age.

    learn driving first?

as far as i remember production of cuore n alto was stopped n from the 3 cars u mentioned, swift would be better
as for license, normally they never ask for it,atleast not in isl/pindi unless u r about to get a challan ticket

go for swift..... but personally i think you should go for JDM cars like passo, ist or the JDM swift..... if you manage to get a slightly used cuore..... well nd good.....cuore would give you best fuel consumption, good braking + road grip and decent acceleration..(i have a cuore myself)

Thanks for replying @ Chaudhary and OmarAbdullah, appreciate that =)

Regarding driving, i have been driving for the last 3 years, a bit here and there, so i am used to the clutch/accelerator and i have learnt a bit of "Pakistani" driving too, *Man for himself on the road* =)
I have British provisional license, done a few hours too so yeah driving shouldn't be a problem hopefully

I have truly felt in love with Suzuki Swift, it is an awesome car haha, the shape, features everything! I am planning to get that one asap

leave aside cuore or alto , if u want zero meter car then swift is a good option otherwise there r many good jdm cars here , if u have budget of 10-11 then go for vitz if less than that then go for passo , if around 8 then go for mira n plz plz plz dont even think about buying local alto n cuore , even if u have budget of 6 lacs then go for 2 door mira but not local small hatchback
    I Love JDM Cars . . .

    Thanks for replying everyone, cheers.

Our bugdet is upto 13 lac rupees, and I don't personally like Toyota Vitz, since it's automatic and I've heard that they are all imported,
So they won't really be brand new, even though it has 2012-2013 numberplates on it.

i need a local car, with cheap spare parts since even if I accidently hit it here and there, replacing parts should be cheap too
The car will be insured, and I will make sure that I buy a wheel clamp, all these trackers etc are according to People i know by face, crap.
They have told me all these different real life experiences how thieves used 4-5 kg heavy magnets on the bonnet to jam all these trackers
to having special electronic keys designated to bypass expensive, luxury cars software and alarm functions :O
So, Suzuki Swift, here we come haha

Again, thanks for reading and posting your opinions/suggestions.

Regarding Omarabdullah's question" JDM or local?"- I say Local, importing a car is a big hassle, and I hate that, I need it fresh haha xD

If u r in Karachi or Lahore u should go for used or local assembled car for atleast one year because traffic condition here is worst driving here isnt a piece of cake for outsiders u need to practice with an local assembled car which are economical like cultus or alto with cheap part

will u run the car on CNG or Petrol coz it does matter for choosing a car

Thanks for replying again, appreciated <3

I am currently in Faisalabad, will take family to different places in Lahore, Islamabad etc. so yeah I will experience driving all over pakistan

Regarding fuel: I will use it only on Petrol, since I can't be bothered with CNG, waiting in queues is such a waste of time and I heard that
the engine gets affected by swapping fuel from Petrol to CNG and vice versa.

Might get Hi-Octane fuel to "treat" the car sometimes, depends really haha

And MGK, yes You can test drive, just come to my house

    first of all,
look for a proper driving school. learn driving before coming on to the road directly. it is important for you and will be a favor to us as well as noobs sometimes create problems for others on the road.
Allah na kare, it may lead to something disastrous as well.

secondly, you should wait to be of legal age before driving. one must always abide such laws of the country as we do abroad

now coming to the car, i suggest swift in small cars category. its small, its spacious, sporty and loaded with necessary accessories.

good luck and hope you get settled here soon.

dont take anything personal. i suggested what i think is right and this is how i would treat my son as well.

Thanks to everyone for replying, very appreciated <(^_^)>

@ Haroon_Tatar; Thanks for considering that I have little experience driving and fearing for my safety, thanks again =)

As mentioned above, I have a British provisional driving license, which I have spent 9 hours of driving on by a qualified instructor.

Had 4 hours done in Faisalabad @ Manchester car driving center, but it was wasted as their cars were not up to date, all broken, failed systems, no meters working so yeah.

Regarding license, yup I am 17 at the moment, but I'll apply for a temporary- license, it will have it's fee but should be payable

And Swift is awesome <33333- Regarding security- It will be insured + Alarm. I will buy a wheel clamp too, but I am not really satisfied with GSM/GPRS/GPS trackers, as many members of PakWheels have posted their issues regarding Jammers and stuff.

So... Insurance, Alarm, Wheel clamp and that Steering wheel lock should be fine or shall i consider adding a few more items to make my car almost thief free :O?
