Noone wants to get cheated, but how would someone know of this technical question. Theoratically it seems possible. pumps fil lesser fuel while meter show more so no fuel can also be possible. Your fuel gauge does tell you if you got fuel or not Always fill it to the top, so u can see you got fuel actually.
Keep a cool head and wear seatbelts!

Well I though there are thousands of Pakwheelers around the globe...
And here we have Engine experts, Sound and Electrical Experts, CNG Experts, Vehicle Import Experts and lots of other kind of Experts..
May be someone knows about it too...

But Anyways, I want to tell that I have had a really bad experience of refueling my car on the way coming from GujarKhan to Islamabad.
I stopped for refueling petrol on the ADMORE petrol station on the way.
I asked the attendant to put Rs.1500/- worth of Petrol.
My fuel guage was at 'E'.
After refueling, the gauge should have shown nearly half tank at least (for mehran).
My Eyes were at the Dispenser Digital Meter, which started from 0 to 1500 correctly.
While I was paying Rs.1500 to the cashier I saw the attendant pulling out the nozzle, and there was not a single drop left on nozzle.
It was a bit unusual for me, so I asked the attendant in a friendly manner, 'Did you put air in the tank?'
He became angry at the very next moment, shouting 'Are you calling me a thief!!! I take oath I put petrol in the car!!!'.
I was surprised at first...I mean what can be the reason he got so angry about it.

I said calm down man... how are you behaving...
I then looked on my car's fuel gauge, and it still remained on the "E" level.
Now I was sure he did not put even a single drop of petrol in my car.
Arguments got heated up, but persons with me said, 'Just leave it.'
I was with my family so I thought to let go...

The next came the Shell Petrol Pump, here I got Rs.1000 worth petrol and the fuel guage show the difference correctly...
If the ADMORE guy had actually put Rs.1500 worth petrol, the guage should have show nearly full tank now...BUT NO!
The gauge showed nearly half tank
So basically, the car fuel gauge was correct, and the ADMORE guy didn't put any petrol in my car...

So my friends the ADMORE guyz are doing it....
I am not sure just the one on the GT road(GujarKhan - Isb ADMORE station) guyz are cheating or all the ADMORE Stations ....

Please beware of the situation and try to AVOID refueling form ADMORE stations...

    They Cheat!

    Yes it is possible.
There are lot of ways to cheat...

The flow of petrol is reduced from the dispenser, but meter is running at normal speed.
    No flow altogether..

The only remedy is to get your tank filled from a company operated pump and that to where there is always lots of cars for a refill.
Pumps which are in less populated area's, on highways, in and around villages have the tendency to cheat as their are no checks and the owner wants to make money, by hook or by crook.

Default Is It possible that the Petrol Dispenser Meter runs fine but no petrol flows ...

I have came across a pump which has a transparent part before the nozzle that shows the fuel movement whilst it is dispensing fuel. Will try to take a pic next time I will get a fill from there.
