Default Most Fuel Efficient Car - Around PKR 800,000

    Dear All,

Whats the most economical car (fuel-wise) available in the market around PKR 800,000? I am ok with the interior/ exterior of any car (say Alto, Cultus, anything would work). I just want to buy the most fuel efficient car within my budget. I will be frequently traveling from Multan to Lahore and may be Multan to Rawalpindi.

CNG is almost impossible to find so its of no use now!

THe 660cc and other small CC's till 1.0 will give you a poor fuel ave on long routes ---- Honda City both at stretch and home will keep you economical both on fuel consumption and repairs and God forbids if you get a small dent or scretch or side mirror broken etc the imported one will be costly for repairs than the locally assembled unit.

I own a Cultus 2006 (carbi) bought it brend new till today petrol driven -- I say it has a lovely fuel consumption for my trips from Hyd to Khi. and for the city suggestion because my other collegue has a city and he easily get 18 - 19 at highway.

I say these disposables are not good in City as well. -- Japs design these cause the 660 get low fee for parking space and other fees --- and we import them here labeling in economical -- crap

not good for long route n economy but they r perfect for our cities , small cars n still very good in comfrot , very small turning circle , we dont have other options in small cars thaty y importers bring them here , there is a huge gap in hatcback category n these cars fitss in perfectly

I have driven mira from islamabad to khi...
    Excellent road grip...
    Breaks arw really good...(ABS)
    Ac is damn chill
    Mileage 18-20 kmpl highway
Touched its max speed 140... was really smooth ....
660 doesnt mean underpowered... it is as powerful as a 1000 cc cultus or may be more....
Its more spacious than a corolla 2007 so much space...but diggi is small...
So 500 km shud not be a big deal... its safer than rollas coz of grip and Abs and airbags....

Thank you for sharing your experience with us Mr. Faisal. Good to know that 660cc cars can travel from Isb to Khi because I heard they get overheated and taking them to the highway would be a big mistake, you'll find yourself in the middle of nowhere with a wrecked car!

It's upto u if u believe it or u don't... I just shared my experience...I have even seen people travelling from isb to Khi by mehan.
i also have mini pajero 660cc I drove it from Khi to larkana.... It was like 500 km. cars performance was pretty good.
I have gone to Khi -Lrk route twice on Cultus and The gaskit got burnt twice....had to repair it...

i don't see Ny reason why these 660cc can't be driven on highways.... These are still better than cultus, alto, mehan, and corollas 2002-2007( very bad grip) ....

With good power, grip , breaks and other safety features, 660 dinkies can be taken to highways...u can ask people who have driven those cars like I have done...

Bro, Have gone through all the posts, everyone shared their experiences, so I should give my advise as well.
So.............. go for a diesel car its cost efficient and cheap as compare to other variety available in market. Off course no resale value and early oil change.
I own a 2.0D Saloon which is giving me 17Km/Ltr in town and 20Km +/ltr on long with AC.
I am a frequent traveller between Attock - Hyderabad which is approx. 1260Kms and I do it all in one go, 16 - 17 hours with 3 stops of 15 minutes for tea, (Dilaywala near Mianwali, Chowk Bahadur near Rahim Yaar Khan and 3rd as per need).

Its up to you to finalize but the price difference between petrol and diesel per liter cost reaches to break even with good mileage.

    You can get a good 2.0D Saloon (2002 - 2004) around 750,000 to 850,000
and second option is Nissan Sunny 1998 - 2002 (2.0D), Nissan is even more economical than corolla diesel.
