    Default Honda City 2010 onwards Automatic Transmission - Your views

    Dear all,

    I am planning to have Honda City 2010 onwards (Automatic), as I hate manual cars. One of my friend has suggested that not to buy City AT as its acceleration is dead like you are driving it on CNG. Presently I have 1.6 GLi AT, whose acceleration is good (not excellent).

    If that is the case with City, I may not go for it.

    Has anybody noticed such thing in city. or any City AT satisfied users?

    Steermatics are mostly petrol driven. But dont have any in my circle of friends. I have the option to get my CL9 back, but cannot afford its fuel and maintenance costs.

    Btw which one is better? Present AT or steermatic?

    Aamir bhai, yeh zyaadti hai....

    Kahan Steermatic or kahan City Prosmatic.

    @Raza1

    Sir, like Amir bhai said, do try out Steermatic as well. Just for comparison. You'll be left in something called "Double Minded"

    Sir Steermatic is pure pleasure when it comes to responsiveness and economy at the same time. You can squeeze as much juice as you need if you are in the sporty mood.

    Likewise, it can be as light as 15km/L on your pocket when it comes to long route economy. Even more

    It may have slightly higher maintenance cost over the years(if you really like her, you would definately want to keep the CVT healthy and have early CVT oil change intervals). But the drive feel it gives is unmatchable in its class.

    Try it out once, petrol driven only. Then make your choice.

    The A/T and Prosmatec change is yet to be confirmed that is it a sticker change or the actual trany is changed,

    But their was a news that Honda changed some software in early Honda Citys (2010 models). The software change was done because of the pick up or something similar like issue.

    The issue has been reported on Pakwheels aswell. Altho im not sure if it was about A/T or manual cars.
    Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

    Dear Raza Bhai,

    This is the Moiz Amir bahi is talking about. Anyway, I've always admired your 1.6 Gli and the passion with which you've kept it. Yes, it is true that i've decided to sell the steermatic. Looking for a genuine 'petrol-head' who knows/loves cars the way I do. For more details, you can always PM or visit the Steermatic Fan Club.

    Regards
    @amirbhai, thanks

There might be a pick issue with AT but since I have not driven AT........... So can't comment. No problems with prosmatic though.

    I have a city prismatic and it doesn't have any sluggish behaviour. In fact it pushes you into the seat when you push the throttle. I haven't driven AT 2010 so can't comment as what has changed but can confirm that no such problem in prismatic.
