Default WTB car with budget of maximum 25 lacs

    AOA fellow car enthusiasts,
My father wishes to upgrade from his 2002 Honda civic to a new car. As I recently bought a japenese kei car ( https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/mem...-daihatsu-move ) which has impressed us all, we are prepared to buy a japenese import.
we have rejected the local corolla as it has no security system and is a very commonly stolen car. Plus it has n special features and has a high price.
the new civic costs 25 lacs and they still haven't managed to sort out the rear mudguards issue. Almost every civic I have seen on the roads has loose rear mudguards. Plus it's too expensive n lacks luxuries found in japenese cars available here at a similar price.

so this leaves japenese cars, our requirements are:
    1. 1800cc petrol engine
    2. Preferably an estate model.. Such as Toyota fielder, Honda stream, etc.
    3. One of the mainstream cars we see commonly here such as Toyota or honda

We will most probably import it fresh directly.
Please advise on what to buy.
plus we need to use the 7 seats only when we will not be using the rear hatch for luggage. The last 2 seats will be used by mostly teens. Is the rear legroom adequate in a car like Toyota fielder?

btw, I came across an interesting indian article on what cars we can buy there below 25 lac indian rupppees and they do have some interesting options, enjoy

I dont know much about cars, only know the basics, so I wont be of much help Hope to learn alot after joining PakWheels though

All I can say is, the link above " Top 10 Best Cars in India below 25 Lakhs 2013", Gotta keep the exchange rate in mind too, since INR is worth more than PKR

Those cars are worth more than 35 Lakh PKR. So yeah

And if You can import a car Yourself, thats awesome! since dealers are very dodgy and it is hard to find a honest dealer who rather have a happy customer than pocket full of cash ^_^

Good luck in the search, and wish You the best of luck. InshaAllah You find a mind-blowing deal
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

This is a lot of money. I think you shoukd go for a new civic rather than some used import. Youll loosse money in resale of imported car plus parts are a nightmare.

Well I am quite happy with my JdM daihatsu move so we are quite eager to buy an import for a family car as well.
we don't sell our cars till ten years so resale doesn't really matter as long as we have had a comfortable and hassle free ten years in that car.
car parts will not be an issue if I get a mainstream car like Toyota fielder

I would recommend some SUV in that range like 90,s Prado Surf or Land Cruiser . But if u want a car not SUV then i would suggest a Mark X in good condition . Luxury plus quite sporty . Although its 2.5 not 1.8 but still luxuries .
