Question Selling Car with different engine number on papers, is it ok?

    Salam

A colleague in my office is selling his City to a guy, this guy knows the engine is changed and he is saying he won't accept a cut out engine number on the book and a hand written with a stamp from excise new number on it. Instead he has asked him to give him the car in the current condition(with different engine number on papers) and he will get the job done himself.
I told my colleague that this might not be right and if he wants to sell the car this way he should get the man to sign an agreement that he(my colleague) sold the car with engine number this on the car and other on the book with the owner knowing it and changing it in the future) and will transfer the car to his name in 8 days. And that he won't be responsible for any thing regarding the car in the future.

Now i need to know if this is ok or not.

    Regards

changed engine is not a big deal. when you sell a car on papers it is written in agreement that buyer has checked everything and is correct. although it is better to get new engine no on books as you buy and check engine. and get a receipt from shop.
