If you still have your ride, try mixing hi octane whenever you fill up petrol. You'll feel the difference. And if it's 1.0, that is the max you can get out of it. I'm getting 8-9 from my Vitz 2003.

You should look under your seats for some hidden hybrid batteries.

    Default b0ll0cks dare i say!!!

After reading some of the fuel economy claims on this thread... I just feel like burning my prius to ashes as it does only 20 something km/l in city..
Some guys here are claiming averages that even the car manufacturers dont claim.
    Unbelieveable!

    Honda City 2012 Manual - 19+ km/litre on M2....15km/litre in City - with full a/c.

    Toyota Vitz 2007 1Kr-Fe CVT Transmission imported in Pak 2012 - 17.5-18KM/litre with A/c
    In city - 14-15Km/litre with A/c

Note: On M2, the mileage I get only when driven at around 100 Km/Hr speed.

    Hypermiling...
One reason people blow excessive horns is to avoid braking and thus saving gas... and you should brake a lot coz yours has degenerative braking...

    Respect your opinion mate

    BUT

How do they achieve a mileage greater than the manufacturers claim?
    Afreen hai in per
Puzzled! I can only doubt their mathematical skills
Drive carefully! Remember, it's not only a car that can be recalled by it's maker.

i believe manufacturers don't mention hypermiling figures.
they quote figure based on mix of city and highway drive.

this sunday i've managed to reach isb from lhr via M2 (450KM) in around 20L of fuel on my cultus carby. Maintained 90-100KM/H.
Did no math, just topped up from PSO Thoker and again from PSO G-9/4

Even Toyota motor company is going to stop production of hybrid cars and go old school by launching carbys again
