Default Please Suggest 2013 Civic Colour

    Dear friends,

Finally I have decided to buy Civic. Kindly suggest which colour will be most suitable for me. I have narrowed down to following colour. Suggest and comment on all aspects

    1. Habenaro Red

    2. Polished metal

    3. Black

    4. Silver

I know red is kind of un conventional but looks very unique and hot if detailed properly. Please share some pics of Habenaro red ( hope I have spelled it right). Also shed some light of resale value of all colours. It is not verry imp but it is good to know.

Anyways, looking forward for suggestions and comments.

    Regards

Your car will stand out in a crowd no matter what. This color always does, black and white have lost their charm.
Agreed.it always stands out and people stares everytime my red goes somewhere.
Yes red always gives different shades depending upon light

I recently visited the main Honda dealership in RWP and felt that the paint quality of some of the cars on display was downright sad! The grain was visibly quite large on a black Civic, while if you moved your hand over a City there, you could actually feel the grain in the paint on its fender. I raised this in a separate thread here too; I don't consider myself a detailing/paint expert. So I wonder if anyone else has noticed this?

It seemed to me like the problem was with consistency of quality. Some cars felt/looked fine (especially silvers and light colors), but others appeared to have this issue. If indeed other have seen this, then it's a gamble when taking delivery Unless we go by the theory that it doesn't matter in PK because a Honda is a Honda

    Any observations?

I am not saying you shouldn't buy this Civic because you've already took your decision but just for more awareness and well due to the matter of fact that we probably won't be having the newer version of the civic something which Honda engineers did and were pretty successful at in redesigning the civic without redesigning the body structure within a year and responded to all of the complaints it received from the consumers and fixed them and made them better, and we ain't gonna get that Civic for at least the next 1-2 years I guess (if we are at all) but well the thing is simple, the current civic has some reasonable problems which are discussed in the review done by that guy on youtube - just for this video I guess you can use a proxy maybe, try Proxy SSL | Free & SSL Secure Proxy Server

The main thing is to know what you will NOT be getting in your NEW civic which you could've got in the actual 2013 Honda Civic which is not available to us.

Anyways, I believe the rear end of the vehicle have grown the "civic-ness" just like it's gene's only by extending the rear lights to the trunk and giving it a nicer and longer attachment and feel to it, it brings up the old style back. Also, in the new Civic, Honda addressed even to minor problems and fixed them and made the new version much much more better than the one we (sadly) have as new for us.
Oh and I forgot to mention... That is the reason why Honda is promoting it's "2013" Honda Civic as the "Best Civic yet". You can see their indirect apologizes for the 2012 Civic and the complaints they received by saying "Things can always be better" (therefore we did them for you) and than referring to the minor yet efficient and effective redesigning they did on the car by acting upon all of those complaints they received and named their 9th Generation (2013) Civic as the "Best Civic yet" because now it really is complain free and has gotten it's "Civic'ness" back which it lacked of, mainly by looking at the rear end tail lights for the 2013 model and comparing them with the 2012 one.

As seen on this official Honda Civic 2013 Commercial.

gee bhai, its true honda atlas paint with rich orange peel ( grain) , comparatively toyota indus paint is best in pakistan and i would rank honda atlas paint quality same as pak suzuki

honda not only orange peel in paint but also its paint is softer than toyota in pakistan so getting imperfections like light scratches, swirls is easier in honda paint compare to indus toyota, positive aspect from detailing point of view is softer paints easy in corrections

honda having same orange peel in their every paint color just white / silver lighter in shades so optically dont prominent as much compare to dark colors that's reason lighter colors are easy to maintain cause minor imperfections dont come in eyes compare to dark shades like black

Ahmad bhai really appreciate that detail (Y) this is new information for me..

One question still remains though - i 'thought' i had seen some dark color Hondas that didn't feel so 'grainy' (e.g. the reborn civic), and so had assumed the issue was with consistency as well. I could be wrong (I hope so), and will look into this a little more. This is of interest to me as I am also considering booking the new Civic.

well by continuse use of cleaner waxes, polishes or also compounds make the paint more smoother, further synthetic waxes , paint sealants also provide a a thin transparent film to paint so optically surface seems smoother for time being, sure there would be slight varition lot to lot, its very natural , can remove this orange peel with wet sanding/ compounding/polishing but problem is in pakistan at time of re-sale dealers, buyers consider orange peel as evidence of orginal paint so orange peel tu accha hua na

honda had best paint till 2006 but dont know what happen in later years , on other hand toyota made visible improvements in paint quality

    speechless.. Haha.
Bro. To me Habanero red doesn't seem to be gracy/sober color at all. Hope you got my point..
or maybe I'm too much against this color lol.
Though this car looks best in white. But you have already kept white 8th gen.
I'd say go for Silver or Polished metal.

Polished metal and Silver are best colors to go for, Black can be tricky to keep clean, But the Polished metal and Silver colors look the same 12 months around the year and dont loose their bueaty.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Could you please provide a reference? From what I have heard, the new government is looking to increase the tax on imported and/or luxury cars whilst reducing the tax on Hybrids. The PKDM cars' prices should remain unchanged for the most part - but I could be wrong. Hence it would help if you could provide more details and the credibility of your source. I am sure, there must be a lot of fellow members looking to buy new cars in the near future (myself included) and any such information (on the price increase, etc) would be of great interest to us all.
