Default Why high lights in night??????????????

i am starting new thread just to know that what a bad and akward habit we have (majority of us) that in night instead of using low lights

we use very high lights and very often these lights penetrate into driver's eyes, that is major reason for numerous accidents in night.

Every of us try to have HIDs and try to throw car lights at least 1 km away from car, neglecting the fact that our , this action may

    deprive some one from life.

Suppose you are running at speed of 80+ at 2 way road (some roads are still 2 way) and truck or car coming from opposite side over

takes other car and at this moment car coming from opposite side have total light penetration into your eyes and you are blind for

    some moments.

you may collide with tree, may destroy a biker etc etc (Only possibilities.

i requests to all my pakwheelers friends to consider this at least for 1 minute from bottom of heart that "IS it right action?"

i request to all brothers please use light in "Low" mode and avoid HIDs.

I am sure that nobody of us will want to be a reason of some one's death.

once I was in lahore, coming from iqbal town in night, one corolla guy was coming from back with high beam, I putt on the hazards but he not off the high beam, I went back and make high beam and think maybe he will off, butt when I overtake him he was on high beam, I again go back and make high beam on all the way, (luckily no trafic on road) and take my car at that point from where my light will go to his eyes, he rotate back mirror I change location of my car and again give him tough time (I was on new mehran and light was too much). I enjoy the situation, hop he should learn the lesson to avoid use of high beam.

in past only illiterate drivers used to use high beams but now educated people are using HIDs too tease others. using very high intensity light that blinds others is a new trend.

i agree with you but we should try our best to educate people

Here on pak wheels all people are educated.

i am 100% sure that some people will change their habit to avoid mishaps.

There is a difference between Degree holders and literate people

Literate people are recognized by their behavior but degree holders have to tell the people that they are educated ones.

while on the road you can judge any driver in seconds

    educated drivers give way

    but .................................................. .........

    no way

and then overtake from left side

A casual observation from coming home from work always shows that 4 out of 5 corolla drivers driving on the other side of the road will have their high beams on. I am talking specifically on Main Shujaat road so my sample pool is very small. But everyday, without fail I will encounter this percentage of corolla drivers with their high beams on. 1 out of 4 will lower the high beam to low when I flash them but a majority just carry on.

Usually drivers who are clinging to the steering wheel driving 20km below limit to appease the owners at the back. Same numbskulls who turn without indicating

No offence to anyone but i have seen most people with their 'XLIan' and '2Dian' going to their 'Dera' with high beams all the time.

And to be honest Corolla's high beam is very bright.

Taxi walas don't know anything other than high beam. For them the bigger the better is the concept so they always choose the highest setting of everything.

I assume you are talking about DHA...that is my everyday route to uni...the main point here i wanna add is that corrollas are mostly driven by drivers and they dont know what is low beam so they constantly drive on high beams..plus that road is well lit by street lights....

i just wish that there should be some type of system in a car that if high beams are used for more than 15 minutes continously, then they should automatically burn and to change that we have to change whole system.....three times this happens and people will forget what is high beam...the sahab people will also make sure that thier drivers use low beam...

I hate driving at night that's why, specifically corolla debut drivers they have extra bulb for high beam and it latterly makes the driver blind. If they are coming from behind I usually move my car to any other lane in the respect of that jerk to pass by.

True that - about the corolla drivers. No offense to the decent corolla drivers. And usually, it's the 2002-2008 shape corollas. On a traffic dense road such as the margalla road, they would be coming with their high beams on. It's just a matter of danda. When the ISB traffic police became strict about mobile usage and belt violations, it had it's impact. Although, as soon as they became a little bit lenient on it, drivers are back to chatting on their 3310s while driving at 20 in the fast lane

i dont know why but at night i feel low beam light to b very less
n most of the people already blinding u with high beam
i use HID in high beam but on double road because of visibility, they work really well for me atleast but if on single road without light i see some car coming from front i switch to low beam
also they come in handy to move out a stubborn driver from fast lane

Brother if you try to stay on low beam even on double road then you will adjust your self

Although you are on other side but light penetrates into eyes of drivers coming from other side

I didn't read all the posts ... and i feel that

"u don't face any high brams if u have lots of HIDs and other beams"

just use them for those who try to blind u and see how quickly they change to low beams yet if u don't have them then these people enjoy blinding u ... for a decent motorist u can keep ur lights low and flash lights off

at one time i even thought of devising a remote operated "dirty egg throwing gun" on these blinders specially the "khan bus service" types buses with hundreds of lights ... just one egg on the wind screen and it requires a lot of washing to clean it ...

If every body starts to use HIDs in high beams then what about law.

It is not the matter that we have to teach the lesson to people who blind us, but what about other people who use low beams and not HIDs.

The matter is it can cause serious problem, even accident, damage to pedestrians crossing the road, what you think about that??????????

If any body teasing us then you crush people by a stimulus?????????????

This thread is started to produce awareness among all brothers that "IT IS WRONG"

not the matter that we too should use high beams and HIDs to teach a lesson to others.

People plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzz change your mind

if each of us was in Europe, USA, or any other country (as every of us wishes to be) then could we use high blinding lights??????

    We say that

    Its pakistan

    Sab chalta hy

    but sab chalaata kon hy?

People like us try to overtake the rules and to justify their habits, say sab chalta hy etc etc etc

I an of the opinion that we should install HIDs or high intensity lights on front and rear bumpers. To blind the idiot who's driving with HIDs on high beam, in a fools paradise.

count me in the HID hater team ... in fact i don't have HIDs but was planning to put some bright head lights in near future and never knew they take time to brighten up ... so i guess i should work on rotten egg gun instead of HIDs (j/k)
