If prices have been increased after they paid, they WILL have to pay the difference because at the bottom ov rate lists is a clause, 'Rates at the time ov delivery will be charged.' But those need to be in print. As ov now, it appears as if Suzuki and Honda have not announced their new rates. But who knows, they might put deliveries on hold till then!
i have.. prices have increased.. per those who have bought before? they will increase as well?
So from what I understand, you're looking to buy a used car - 2012 model eh?
The prices have increased, and this is Pakistan - so please don't expect the after-market sellers of used cars to not increase the prices. And I think it's only fair that even if they do. If I sell my civic now, I will definitely sell it at a higher rate than I would have pre-Budget. Because, at the end of the day, I also have to buy another car - and if I want to replace my civic with another brand new car, I will definitely want to not have to bear the brunt of the price increase.
Hope that clarifies.
As for your original query, I really can't say - it depends on the car condition, mileage, etc. But a late 2012 civic (oriel pt trim), with around less than 10K on the mileage would go for around 23.5-24 for sure. Check on olx, and pakwheels ads and then do a market survey yourself this weekend. Check the newspaper classified. Do your own recy and you'll get a fairly good idea of the price range.
You 'll not get a good condition oriel pt in less than 23.5
If someone is selling his under this price, then I'd be very wary of the car's condition.
Go for a non oriel pt, if you don't mind not having the following features:
-sunroof (useless, haven't opened up the sun roof on mine for more than a couple of times, the dusty conditions in this country make it a nuisance rather than a luxury)
-fog lights and alloy rims(can be installed later on as well)
-climate control ac (the only feature I find useful in an oriel, however that doesn't mean the non-oriel's ac is any less powerful)
-retractable mirrors (a somewhat useful feature but not worth the extra 200k on the price tag)
-cruise control (again, useless. Only useful on motorway, that's about it)
-chrome button of the hand brake(not a biggie)
Rest, there's no difference between an oriel and non-oriel trims. Same engine, same size, same exterior, same interior, same econ, same goodies like self-timed lights etc, same security, immobilizer, same jack knife key, etc.
So if you don't care about pt or manual, then get a oriel mt, else if you really want a pt, then get the non oriel version.
Hope this helps too
