    Default Toyota Corolla Service Suggestions

    @Xulfiqar , @a1ms , @incognito59 , @ahmad_yar , @sunhonbun , @sjehsan , @ronz2202 , @umer325, @uzi602 , @StrikerX , @Ravager , @sheikh_wah , @FarhanAnwarKhan , @qwertypoiu

    I purchased a used Corolla GLi when it was 36000 KM on the ODO now it's almost reaching 40000 KM, so I want to get it checked, tuned and serviced for the first time since in my possession but I'm under a budget so can't spend too much on things like 40K service which costs more than 30K

    I'm planning to get these things checked+serviced alongwith the price quote from Toyota Garden Motors:

    1) Engine Tuning ( 600 Rs ) + Spark Plugs if required changing ( 1480 Rs )

    2) Engine Oil ( 1916 Rs )

    3) Oil Filter ( 1210 Rs )

    4) Air Filter ( 1790 Rs )

    5) Throttle Body ( 1260 Rs )

    Please suggest what I should add or delete from my list with reason and also state your opinion about their pricing and if you have experienced their service then how they are?

    Thanks in advance!

    Will they be able to check all these filters and not charge me if they don't need replacing? I'm pretty sure they will say " behtar hai change karwa lain " even if the filters are fine, and this would add additional cost to my budget which I can't extend too much right now

    Here in khi the toyota dealers dont ask to replace it untill it get worst. Even if you ask him, so they will still decide as per the condition and then suggest you.

    Same with honda dealers.

    Don't go to 3S, find a good mechanic maybe someone who's a technician at Toyota too.

    And get the things changed step by step

    As mentioned by some other fellow members, add break service in your list as well. Its not a very costly activity unless disc pads or anything else needs to be changed but it's an important item in preventive maintenance. I myself get it done after about every 20,000 KM. Another important tip is tyre/whele rotation after every 20,000 Km, which increase your tyres' life and if you check the allignment and balancing at this stage, it'll b a good practice.
    If you have limited budget, u don't need to execute everything in one go. You can do it step by step.
    I believe that Preventive Maintenance is always better and cost effective than corrective maintenance.
