Default Buying a JDM (Japanese) car!?

    Hi guys,

After checking out my options I have zeroed in on
Passo or Vitz in 1000cc and
Move, Moco and jdm Alto in 660cc cars...

... in the same order of preference, though in reverse order of what I might end up buying...after your well informed opinions and suggestions.

    Let me know:

    1. If a 660cc jdm car (and 2009-2010) model will guzzle less fuel than a 1000cc?

    2. The specific models that one should buy in these cars?

    3. Which car should one buy as first car and why?

    4. How and through which websites or auction houses one should import a JDM?
If you know any reliable Pakistani car showroom dealer, share that as well so that people may benefit.

Please pour in your advice and share your experiences with the jdm cars, and support them with pics and links, so that one can make a well-informed decision.

    Much Thanks!

Go For Move, As It Is Car Of Daihatsu, SOo It Is Imported More, And More Import Means Better After Sales, Spares And Maintenance, And Move Is Better Engine Wise And Interior Wise, IDK Why I Don't Like Moco And Alto Interior, I Myself Have Driven Move, It Is Good In It's Class, And Offers Power Windows, Power Mirrors (NOT Sure), And ABS, So It Is Luxurious Than Alto, Cultus, Mehran Khappa.

All are very comparable.. Alto is all famous car, move uses same platform as dihatsu Mira and moco is also quickly gaining...

Moco is a good car, no issues, u might not have noticed but it is quite well known jdm now...

Being a newbie I recommend u alto as spares and services will be easily available.., however other 2 are also worth buying!

    Goodluck

Thanks guys! I am thinking the same that for my first car I should go for the tried and tested Alto....though getting a good JDM Alto is nothing less than a hassle.

    Whats your budget ?
I would suggest you to get a 2010 Suzuki Alto https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki...0.93present.29
If you can wait for a month or two why not get the car imported from Japan yourself atleast you'd get a good car with an authentic auction sheet

That's what I will do ultimately coz all the jdm cars I checked out here weren't either clean or free of dents, thanks to shipping! It ain't easy to get a good car even in Japan unless you have a friend there or really know the person to grab a good deal. Most of them them selling on pakwheels are calling it wholesale but are actually charging more than the market price.

My budget is 8 lac and extendable, and so is my option ranging from Honda Civic iDSI to Passo or Move...but since it will be my first car in Pakistan (I am not used to the rash driving here) I have been advised to keep an Alto for sometime and then trade it off or sell it for a sedan once I get hold of driving here ;-). My issue is that I have never driven a small car and I prefer spacious cars...which I hope a JDM Moco or Alto would be...although the former does not have good crash reports!

Is Daihatsu a good brand in Pakistani Market... And comparable to Honda or Toyota (for cars like passo)? What about its resale and body parts?

Someone mentioned that JDM Alto's (2010 onwards) parts are very rare to be found and are expensive. How much that holds true?

Well i don't mean to brag or anything like that but being a owner of moco what i have to say is this car is a gem , the drive is smooth , i love it's interior , well mileage is 13.5 with a.c in city(not so great) and as my father is in automobile business i drove both of them before buying(JDM alto & moco) but i went for moco because it was more spacious and i loved it's color (red wine) , last thing you can floor it whenever you want it can go to 100km/h+ easily
and i prefer driving my moco more than my father's merc unless kahein shodian marni hon

Lol ColdDew! BTW, how do you feel about the safety of Moco...isn't it a little too small and in your face at the front...? How does it fair when you have to apply sudden breaks or turn it suddenly?
