    Default Car in or under 3 million rupees

    Hi I'm looking for a car for or under 3 million - my preference would be a C class 180 2008 onwards - I know peoe are asking for inflated prices these days and usually a car like this has a demand of 35 plus... I would've increased my Budget but then I have what I have. Not interested in civics and corollas - overpriced **** cars.

    Would really appreciate if members can suggest some other car - basically need a car to drive occasionally but it should be trouble free ie low mileage and low maintenance. Would really appreciate some suggestions.

    Well to start off ,, your thread topic intrigued me coz recently I was having this huge discussion with a friend and it was about the same issue ,, I said it then and ill say the same to you , in my humble opinion unfortunately rite now there is not a single option in strict 3 million range that I would personally go for ,, either we raise our budget to 3.5-3.8 million or we could do what I did,, happened the same with me few months ago and went for civic manual trim base model ,, now I know what most people here will think and say and yess I knew it before buying that I was going for a PKDM civic with average manufacturing ( lots of lil blunders ) , but it was pure value for money ,, lets face it no decent non accidental JDM 1800 cc ( 2011-13 ) could match civic s price tag which at least is fresh manufactured ,, engine is superb and manual trim is great fun ( im not a auto trans person ) ,, so after registration and few mods it cost me bang on 2100000 in May this year ( you can check it out here on PW ) ... now I really think it was a sensible move , got the civic hopefully in a couple of years I would be able to stretch my budget and finally get a great trouble free German or Japanese beauty just my 2 cents here ,, after all its your call at the end of the day ,, good luck

    Thank you for your reply. I drive an Altis. Previously had an 8th gen full option civic... So although civic is a nice car it's not significantly better than the corolla. Even in JDMs decent mark x will cost over 3 million now! Audi a4 coupe BMW 1 series old slks etc all cost an arm and a foot - sometimes I just feel like laughing at people who demand these prices as these cars didn't cost them as much as they want in profits - and ironically such cars are always for sale and very rarely get sold! But I will resist buying a civic and will keep on saving I suppose! Although by the time I save 3.5 mil the prices of decent cars would have gone up... That's why when people said Audi convertible 2007 model for less than 3 million here I asked please point me to any such car.

    So let's see what happens... On the plus side I would pay hassle free cash to any prospective seller... Not like one of these deals where people pay in patches or gives different things in part exchange.

    Have narrowed down my search to a bmw 2006-2007 3 series (preferably 320i) with sunroof, leather interior, wooden trim and steering controls. Relatively low mileage would be preferred. Also the body of the car should be very clean, no accidents, scratches, bumps etc (other than bumpers of course). I think it is possible that I can find this car for under 3 mil in Islamabad. Please kindly let me know.

    Brother u wont get a good Audi at your place in this budget forget it seriously.

    Look for a Mark X or 2008 Nissan Cefiro V6 or BMW E90 320i.

    I still strongly suggests a facelift 2004 W203 C230 Elegance with M272 V6 or OM646 Diesel above all other cars.

    Hi there!

    I really need expert advice regarding a 2006 Nissan CEFIRO 230 JM V6 LUXURY and a 2004-2007 Toyota Mark X. I need to know that are the parts of a Nissan CEFRIO easily available in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. I need to know that which car is better in terms of....

    1. Build and ride quality.
    2. Performance and mileage (per liter).
    3. PARTS AVAILABILITY!
    4. Resale value.

    I would greatly appreciate your reply!

    Thank You!

    Mark X is the best option.
    - Spare parts of Mark X are available easily. Cefiro's parts are hard to find.
    - Mark X is better performance wise and it also has triptronic transmission.
    - Cefiro has poor resale as compared to Mark X. Even selling a Mark X nowadays is a real pain.
    - Seats of Cefiro are really comfortable. Build quality is equally good.

    My vote goes for Mark X. Go for a 300g premium version if it falls under your budget. You will love it.

    My personal opinion;
    In city- AC off/on
    11-13 km/l, since it's an old car.
    Highway-
    15-17 km/l.
    From the web;
    2005 BMW 530d E60 specifications, information, data, photos 131142
    9.4/5.2/6.7 l/100km urban/extra-urban/combined
    Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.
