go for a late registered Belta 1300cc..it offers the best balance of decent looks, economy and power combined with comfort and durability in 12 lacs. 1.0L belta is good but sometimes lacks in power when loaded with passengers or going uphill. Also fuel has to be a 25-30% mixture of octane to prevent knocking it being a high compression engine.

I was in a similar situation 4 months back with a budget of 12 lacs..but ended up buying a civic 2006 Vti oriel prosmatic in exceptionally nice and clean condition from my neighbour..the car is nice but not fuel efficient.

It will all depend on what model you're looking to get too in terms of year. A 1.0 Belta I believe should cost you around that 1.2M budget
Being a model of 2010, and a Civic as mentioned being a 06-07 could cost you the same.

@ahmed425...belta 1300 does not have knocking issue as such since the engine is not a very high compression design and hence the fuel requirement is not as stringent..

@ahmed425..the fuel consumption of 1.3L belta is around 11km/litre which is quiet decent..however u can't install cng in belta as it has cvt auto transmission and it fails on cng..it has decent space inside (more than city) but lesser than wingroad..also if u r looking to install cng then belta is just not the right choice..u should look at wingroad or any other car with normal auto gearbox..

I have toyota belta 1.3 G grade (a real G grade) with climate control and push start all features. I owned it for past 1 year almost and it gives me 16+km/litre even with a little harsh drive. The maximum I attained was 19.6km/litre with climate control and on GT road. No issue about knocking nothing at all. Never driven on hi octane yet. Drove 10,000 kms so far and never been so satisfied with any vehicle so far.
All you need to do it have a THOROUGH checkup prior to buying any imported vehicle in pakistan.

    Thats my 50 cents

There are other factors too. In the long run parts will be an issue in case of Nissan.

@ahmed425 No idea about Nissan dude, am not a big fan of Nissan motors though they make good cars no doubt. Take into consideration about maintenance and spare parts availability as well. One thing I forgot to mention is the low ground clearance of Toyota Belta, thats the issue I been facing and hopefully will increase the tyre profile this time to gain some ground clearance. I dont know what goes into their heads when they are making those gigantic speed breakers in Pakistan !!!!

Brother only X corolla is a proper car.

All other are actually based on loading vans or mini cars and are flop in Pakistani market.
