Default Still confused (PKDM or JDM)

with a budget or around 1.5m I am still confused looking for a car. I like to get a Toyota but will settle for Honda too..

I have the seen the following cars
Toyota Fielder ( not a a bad looking car with decent interior ) but hard to find a good one .
Honda Airwave ( Nice Interior , don't know about the ride quality and again hard to find a good one).
Toyota Axia X ( seems like a good car )
Toyota Belta (seems preety low ground clearance)

the problem with the Japanese cars is that I am not able to find one with everything working ... there always seems to be some issues (dents /things changed. no alloywheels )

I have not seems a PKDM car yet but any suggestions will be helpful .

not even talking about paint ... the interior is not good with buttons not working and the dealers excuse ( oh the fuse is gone we will get it fixed ) etc ...

Also people are telling me that corolla is the most stolen/snatch car ? Is that true ..
Is it both pkdm or jdm or just one particular type .

GO FOR PKDM if u will prefer resell, genuine car and choise of colours but it will be of low quality especially the pak suzuki made cars but toyota and honda have fine quality and comforty riding.
jdm's are also a nice choice if u can find a excellent looking car

yes the corrolla is hot cake for theives. in this case you can go for any good condition JDM or in PKDM go for swift (having an immobalizer), but dont forget, its from PAK SUZUKI...

Go for Belta, Good car, for avoiding the bumps, put packing in the rear shocks, it will be fine then.

I fought this battle in between mind and heart.. Heart said go for JDM and mind said PKDM.. I was near complete to buy 2008 Premio F. Car was good but a sentence of show room man ring a bell in me. He said "it is japanese made sir" so build quality is definately way up th local cars.. I took snaps of car, and went to another showroom. Show him the car and ask him the price as i want to sell it.. He quoted 5lakhs down to the asking price by its owner.. When i asked him why.. He said " it is japanese made sir" you cant get its parts so it is hard to maintain. I concluded that if you have lot of money and want to listen to your heart then definately go for JDM. But if you have calculated budget then stick to PKDM as ot never looses its price tag. The imported cars give advantage to showeoom personals at both ends.

+1. a rational decision. even if u have money, peace of mind is most important.....

(BTW beware!!! now u have attracted the wrath of JDM lovers...they will come and argue over airbags.... lol...)

I am not a JDM lover and i think car is an expense so i dont care much about its resale value. what i do like is the following (prioritized list)
    1. Internal Safety (for all the occupants in the car, not just the driver but back-seat passengers/kids too)
    2. External safety (theft / etc )
    3. Reliability/Maintenance
    4. Cost

I don't care much about the resale value .

pkdm, my friend bought a vitz, he was very happy when he got it, now the car is turning out to be a nightmare, every spare part is too expensive, even the plugs were 1200 per piece if i remember correct. then changing cvt oil was a hassle. and now it is making weird noises and has lost acceleration. these cars are techy and comfy, but not reliable, our mistris can't handle em

So you took photos of a car at a showroom then went to another showroom and showed the "dealer" the pics and he right away quoted you 5 lacks less you do know he was ripping you off
the same dealers buy XX or R grade cars from japan for cheap and then repair them using the same " hard to get parts" plus attaching a fake 4.5 grade auction report and then an innocent rather stupid person buys it and then after a certain amount of time complains that this went wrong that went wrong the car feels crappy etc etc
People dont listen to these $hitty showroom dealers they themselves sell a car at a high price in the first place then buy them again at a lower price and then again sell them at a high premium

If you know a good dealer whom you can trust or have enough knowledge and contacts to self import a car, then there's nothing like it.
    Otherwise stick to PKDM.
Don't get ripped off by dealers : https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=194551
All these cars are fixed and sold as 5A grade cars.
