Don't commit a blunder, get the car fixed from professional diesel shop. Check from from member SPECTRA / STORM they are in your neighbourhood and guide you better for diesel engine tweeking. - a 2.0D with properly tuned diesel pump can cough out upto 15+ km/ litre with aircon & 18+ without aircon - NO petrol vehicle can be so economical

Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

Get the pump serviced from a reputible workshop/lab and ur mileage will be improved. 112000 is not a big mileage for diesel engine, and that also for a 2C...nothing can be wrong with the engine. I sold my 2.0D 113000 km driven last month and it was giving 16+ on long and 13+ in city with AC ON.

well, For diesel i have heard positive reviews, one of my cousins had 2.0D saloon 2007 Model and he was very satisfied by it. He told me that he got the average of 18 Km/litre in city. sadly he sold it last year with odo meter crossing 200,000 Km in approximately rs. 1 Million.

DOes your car has a lining under the bonnet? If not you should try that for the noise issue, It should be there but i guess Indus didnt provide thoose in PKDM cars
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Brother! dont change the genuine air cleaner box. It may have some fixing problem but get it inspected from some good workshop. Use genuine air filter. Even the local made cheap air filter changes the sound of engine.

My 2.0D used to give me around 15+ km/ltr both in city and motorway. Its engine is robust and can last 250000km + if maintained properly. Better to change car than engine.
