Default What should be the measures to Protect your car from theft/Snatching?

AoA! We are all vehicle owners and off course our vehicles are very very precious and dear to us. Please give your important inputs as to what can be the measures to protect your car from being stolen or snatched? Please don't say that there is no use of such systems as thieves/robbers can fail every system. I don't disagree with it but don't agree 100 % with it too. So, please your suggestions will be very much helpful for everyone of us.

Never park your car outside of your house.
    Use steering plus paddle lock.
    Install chor switch.
    Get a watch dog.

To what extent chor switch can save your car from being stolen?

According to my knowledge and experience, all the systems are there to increase the time taken by any thief in opening the locks of the car.
We can install steering lock, security systems for our safety.
Plus recite the Ayat Ul Karsi when your park your car at any space. (Most Effective)

The most effective measure? Ayat ul kursi and hisaar..
This measure will never ever let you down, cannot be broken and cannot be bypassed (God willing).

Every muslim do believe in this but still it's necessary to adopt full measures from our side.

100% agreed. My car was stolen in 2004 on eid day. Due to eid very low number of police was present in police stations and naka bandi was not possible. To cut the story short, motorway police by chance, recovered the vehicle from bhera en-route to rawalpindi. We personally interviewed the locked up carrier and thief in police station. He said "I only need 20 seconds to unlock and start a mehran/khyber/charade and 40 seconds for corolla/civic". He also told that mehran and corolla are our favorite cars.

Most importantly he said "Hum sirf woh gaari chori kertay hain jo asaani se khul jayay aur start ho jayay, jis gaari main ziada lock lagay hotay hain hum woh chor daitay hain kionkeh uss mai time ziada lagta hai aur malik kay wapis anay ka khatra hota hai". He also told that when someone parks a car in commercial area, one of our men follows the car owner into the market and other starts working on the vehicle. If by any mean the car owner returns instantly, our man who was following him gives us caution and we just disappear.

So to keep ur vehicle safe:
    1- Install security system
    2- Install a chor switch
3- always turn ur car steering to lock position
4- use crook locks (steering locks)
5- if it is mehran or older models of corolla, use the most effective "Chana da tala" china lock in the steering rod.
6- When u park in a commercial area, keep an eye on vehicle, otherwise if it parked at a distance, return back after 05-10 seconds from a distance where ur car is out of ur sight.

As regards to Ayat-al-Kursi, make it as ur routine to recite once u start ur car and once u switch ur car off.

i am using 2 way remote which causes remote to vibrate if some1 tries doing anything with car not just cho cho sound
then i am using one steering lock, one gear lock plus one wheel lock that ITP uses to lock your car
if i find something more useful i'd add that to my list as well
